I played a little tribute last night when I got home. Blazing Saddles and Silver Streak. Not many remember the latter, a mystery comedy with him actually doing a slight variation of 'North by Northwest'.
Yeah, Chicago has gone to blazes. And then there's the murder of Dwayne Wade's cousin there. Not that I want to stir up trouble, but a so-called activist group sure isn't stepping up this time for this high-profiled case. And of course, the Hollywood Elite is on the attack. The moment Trump even mentions the murder, Spike Lee says he's capitalizing on Nykea Aldridge's death. All I have to say is 'Where the hell is Black Lives Matter with this killing?' What have the Elite done except placate and create the 'It's not my fault' generation.
Seriously... the 'Not my fault' generation. Have you seen the Car insurance ads? "I ran my car into a ditch. Why do I have to pay more for using it?" Because your driving sucks. "It only paid for part of my car. I chose the wrong company." You paid for the cheaper policy. Suck it up.
And finally, colleges are saying 'Enough is Enough'. Safe zones so students don't feel uncomfortable about things happening now? Welcome to the real world. Seriously? Some of these colleges that instituted Safe zones also prohibit some words or phrases, literally violating Freedom of Speech. Even the Washington Post, a liberal-minded newspaper suggested that this is tantamount to "Killing free speech on campus to protect against unpleasant thoughts".
