I just received the following notice from AOL:
Hrm... Could they at least capitalize my name right?
ODDLY... this is my secondary account where I received the eMail. I use this one more often because of the cool username. The account I made when I first signed up (my primary) never received the eMail.
Quote:Dear dervvulfman,
Over the years, AOL has provided you with an unparalleled online experience—mail, browsing, content and more. Our team has worked to ensure that you have advanced technology, while keeping the experience fun and easy to use.
In 35 days, all older versions of the AOL Desktop will expire. Access to your current version will be discontinued at that time.
We’re mailing you a CD-ROM with everything you need to ensure a smooth transition, so please keep an eye on your mailbox. As soon as the CD arrives, use it to install the new software to avoid potential service interruption. If you use dial-up to connect to the internet, the CD will help save time installing the software—you won’t want to miss it.
Thank you for being a valued member.
Sincerely,
AOL Member Services
