Well, it could be two-fold. It appears that Huawei's chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou committed fraud by lying to US banks about her firm's ties to a telecoms company that did business in Iran... violating Iran Sanctions. But probably moreso, revealed that in 2017, China passed the 'National Intelligence Law' that demanded that all tech companies must ... "support, co-operate with and collaborate in national intelligence work".
