Medical help can only go but so far, especially with a patient that refuses medical care and claims that he can do whatever he wants.
The hospice scenario is up and running, but with each option and suggestion they offer, he makes changes. The medicine prescribed, he now spits out. The Food they suggest, he refuses to eat. And I just mentioned the bed. In fact, where he chose to now sleep will give hospice treatment, the nurses and assistants in their caring and management, even more problems.
He now he only wishes to drink water and eat ice cream in difference to anything else. No soft bits of chicken, no soup of any sort, no applesauce or anything. Just water and ice cream, all regardless of how his stomach feels.
He's peacefully asleep right now, but I have no idea for how long.
