I'm working on one of my first Underworld Dungeons.
These dungeons are all interlinked and their paths crisscross the planet, even under the ocean, from continent to continent. The problem is, with them being so deep underground, the player rarely has access to the save data system since the save points cannot connect to the sky data network systems. Occasionally one might find an illuminated Save Point in a cavernous area with access to Overworld light, be it sun lit or moon lit, but these are few and far between. Alas, don't despair if you find a dead Save Point, for there is still hope. Maybe you just have to go one story up and reveal the light somehow, or clear a couple of stories and solve a puzzle.
Russians have influenced me to build a Kremlin Palace tileset, so that is what I am set out to do today.
