Trump to take 'big action' against social media

US President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order redefining the legal protections given to social media platforms.
It means platforms such as Facebook and Twitter could be sued if they are judged to "deceptively" block posts.
The draft of the executive order says social networks are engaged in "selective censorship".
Mr Trump has regularly accused social-media platforms of stifling or censoring conservative voices.

Well, there gotta be a limit to what Facebook and Twitter's unofficial WHO / Chinese branches censor.

As a reminder, Twitter actively blocked Mitch McConnell last year when he posted that his house was attacked BY protesters

“Twitter will allow the words ‘Massacre Mitch’ to trend nationally on their platform. But locks our account for posting actual threats against us,” Golden [McConnell's campaign manager] told ABC News. “We appealed and Twitter stood by their decision, saying our account will remain locked until we delete the video.”

And further back, Twitter suspended David Horowitz's account, though they said it was a mistake

Yeah... he didn't believe it was an accident at all. At the same time, the article reported "The suspension, initially reported by OANN host Jack Posobiec, came the same day as Mr. Posobiec’s account devoted to documenting assaults on Trump supporters, @MAGAphobia, was suspended." So they went and suspended another who was calling out on attacks.

This, to show a trend. Granted, they blocked Louis Farrakhan last year.
