Ukraine retakes a key city
that Putin claimed to have annexed

The Russian retreat this weekend was not just a bad look for Putin
but a costly blow to his military

A new poll released just before found that a growing number of Russians do not believe that Putin's military operation in Ukraine is working.  And with that, more than half of those polled were either angered or distressed.

The city of Lyman was a key road crossing the Siversky Donets River and a key supply hum that the Kremlin used to push troops and weaponry into Ukraine.  But the loss of Lyman, annexed by Russia months before was taken quickly and a major setback for Putin.  Ukraine's military not only revealed Russian weakness but displayed Ukraine's skill and acumen.

I’ve never seen a country annex territory they didn’t even control. You say this is forever Russia one day and the next day you lose a significant city in it.
