Trump takes stage to 20,000 roaring fans at NYC’s Madison Square Garden for historic rally 9 days before Election Day

By Chris Nesi, Reuven Fenton and Diana Glebova Wrote:Former President Donald Trump took the stage at Madison Square Garden for a barn-burning homestretch rally before a capacity crowd that erupted with an intensity typically reserved for pro athletes and rock stars.
...
Trump’s opening pitch to his supporters was simple: “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?”
The resounding answer, “no!”
Even as the marathon rally entered its fifth hour, the crowd was rapturous.
Trump leveraged the chance to speak at the Garden and sweep national headlines, and he was beaming as he addressed the crowd, urging voters to make the election “too big to rig” — and even win New York.
“It would be such an honor to win New York, hasn’t been done in decades,” the Queens native told the massive crowd, without mentioning House races in the state.
Trump, after arm wrestling Hulk Hogan backstage and watching the rally on a TV, entered the arena to a live rendition of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” pumping his fists as he walked, stopping occasionally to point or wave to a member of the crowd.

By Aamar Madhani and Zeke Miller Wrote:White House press officials altered the official transcript of a call in which President Joe Biden appeared to take a swipe at supporters of Donald Trump, drawing objections from the federal workers who document such remarks for posterity, according to two U.S. government officials and an internal email obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.
Biden created an uproar earlier this week with his remarks to Latino activists responding to racist comments at a Trump rally made by the comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who referred to the U.S. island territory of Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
Biden, according to a transcript prepared by the official White House stenographers, told the Latino group on a Tuesday evening video call, “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters — his — his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.”
The transcript released by the White House press office, however, rendered the quote with an apostrophe, reading “supporter’s” rather than “supporters,” which aides said pointed to Biden criticizing Hinchcliffe, not the millions of Americans who are supporting Trump for president.
The change was made after the press office “conferred with the president,” according to an internal email from the head of the stenographers’ office that was obtained by The AP. The authenticity of the email was confirmed by two government officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters.
The supervisor, in the email, called the press office’s handling of the matter “a breach of protocol and spoliation of transcript integrity between the Stenography and Press Offices.”
“If there is a difference in interpretation, the Press Office may choose to withhold the transcript but cannot edit it independently,” the supervisor wrote, adding, “Our Stenography Office transcript — released to our distro, which includes the National Archives — is now different than the version edited and released to the public by Press Office staff.”
The edit of the transcript came as the White House scrambled to respond to a wave of queries from reporters about Biden’s comments. The president’s remarks clashed with Vice President Kamala Harris’ near-simultaneous speech outside the White House in which she called for treating Americans of differing ideologies with respect.
The Trump campaign quickly moved to fundraise off the quote, and the next day, Trump himself held a photo op inside a garbage truck to try to capitalize on Biden’s criticism.

By Emily Crane Wrote:Billionaire Mark Cuban halfheartedly apologized on Friday to those who “felt slighted” at him suggesting that women around former President Donald Trump are weak and dumb, saying he has “no excuses” — while trying to offer a bunch.
Cuban, a top campaign surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris, attempted to walk back his remarks a day after sparking widespread fury for emphatically declaring on ABC’s “The View” that Trump is “never” around any “strong and intelligent women.”
“When I said this during the interview, I didn’t get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn’t about trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former,” he posted on X early Friday.
“And, I set myself up for the 6 sec soundbite. No excuses. Can’t nail every interview. My skin is thick enough.”
During his appearance on the talk show, the “Shark Tank” co-host had suggested Trump doesn’t surround himself with smart women, in part, because he is threatened by them.
“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever,” Cuban declared.
“It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them. Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”
His insult — which came just days after President Biden called Trump’s supporters “garbage” — triggered a fierce backlash from the GOP candidate’s campaign and top female allies who came out of the woodwork to put him in his place.
...
Meanwhile, GOP women were quick to weigh in on Cuban’s bumbling remarks.
“This is so profoundly offensive. I worked for Donald Trump. I consider myself a strong woman. I consider those around me strong women. Kellyanne Conway, Brooke Rollins, Ivanka Trump, Hope Hicks, Sarah Sanders,” said Kayleigh McEnany, Trump’s former White House press secretary.
“That’s before we get to the women Donald Trump elevated to very high levels, like Nikki Haley who still supports him, like Amy Coney-Barrett, who he put on the Supreme Court,” added McEnany, the co-host of Fox’s “Outnumbered.”
Trump criticism of Liz Cheney as 'radical war hawk' framed as call for violence by 'irresponsible' media

By Brian Flood Wrote:Liberal media outlets have been accused of taking former President Trump out of context to claim he was calling for violence against former House Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., when he was actually mocking her as someone who pushes for war from the comforts of Washington, D.C.
Drudge Report’s front-page headline on Friday morning declared in red font with all caps, "TRUMP CALLS FOR CHENEY’S EXECUTION," and linked to a social media post from far-left commentator Aaron Rupar that showed a partial clip from the former president’s Glendale, Arizona, event on Thursday.
"I don’t blame him for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual. Very dumb, she’s a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face," Trump is heard saying in the clip that set the tone for MSNBC and CNN’s Friday morning programming.
But many felt it was purposely cut off before Trump’s anti-war message, and Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway quickly responded to Rupar’s clip.
"Wow, I’m so shocked that propagandist Rupar cut it off before this line: ‘They're all war hawks when they're sitting in Washington in a nice building saying ‘Oh gee, let's send 10,000 troops into the mouths of the enemies.' She always wanted to go to war with people,’" Hemingway wrote.
Indeed, Trump’s comments following the brief clip shared by Rupar was cut off before the former president finished his thought.
Trump's additional statement Wrote:She’s a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face. They're all war hawks when they're sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, ‘Oh, gee, well, let's send 10,000 troops into the mouths of the enemies,’ but she’s a stupid person and I used to have meetings with a lot of people and she always wanted to go to war with people
Rupar is a widely followed, frequent poster on X, and is also a rabid supporter of Democrats.
...
Joe Walsh, a former GOP congressman who is a fierce Trump opponent, acknowledged the framing was misleading.
"Trump did NOT call for Liz Cheney to be executed. This is what’s so wrong with our politics today," Walsh wrote.
"This short clip is so deceptive. Trump is NOT calling for Liz Cheney to be executed in front of a firing line. He’s not. Listen to the entirety of what he said. In Trump’s typically stupid, ugly fashion, he’s trying to make a point about Cheney’s stance on war," Walsh added. "But Aaron (who I like & respect), by posting ONLY this 11 second clip, makes it look like he’s calling for her to be executed. He’s not."
November surprise: Dismal jobs report gives Trump last-minute political ammunition to fire at Harris
Article HERE
by Paul Steinhauser Wrote:With four days to go before Election Day, former President Donald Trump's campaign quickly took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris over the latest unemployment figures from the federal government, which indicated only 12,000 jobs were created in October.
The jobs created last month were far below estimates of up to 120,000 and were the lowest in four years.
Fueling the nosedive were disruptions from devastating Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the crippling Boeing strike and other labor disputes.
However, regardless of the contributing factors, the figures offered the Trump campaign instant ammunition to fire at Harris, as two major party presidential nominees remain locked in a margin-of-error race in both the national polls and surveys in the crucial seven battleground states that will likely determine the White House winner.
"BRUTAL," was the instant reaction from the Trump campaign on social media, as it promoted clips of coverage of the jobs report from the cable news and business networks' morning shows.

Jobs – up until now – have been a shining bright spot for the Biden-Harris administration, amid overall dismal public opinion ratings on the economy as the cumulative effort of inflation continues to weigh down on many Americans.
President Biden, whom Harris replaced in July atop the Democrats' 2024 national ticket, emphasized in a statement minutes after the Labor Department report on the jobs numbers that "unemployment was unchanged at 4.1%."
