Let's make a happy ending for this street urchin, shall we?
Here's a regular old (middle-aged?) man in town who befriends the kid and comes to know him better. One day when the kid is abducted by a local group of thugs, the man tries to save him, to no avail.
It's up to the player and his crew to rescue the kid and reunite him with the man, who realizes how much he cares for the kid, so he agrees to adopt him and give him a new home.
Included are:
- Standard walking animation for the man (he doesn't have white hair, yet, but maybe he's in his mid 50s.)
- Animation sheet for both the man and the street urchin.
- Top row: sitting animation for the man
- Second row: Injured man begging the thugs to let the kid go. (You can make this sprite move to the left to imply him crawling)
- Third row: TWO sequences - first three columns are a hug, and the fourth column is after the hug and they talk (show sprite 3 and then sprite 2 before showing and pausing at sprite 4 to animate them breaking the hug.)
- Fourth row: kid screaming at the thugs that he doesn't want to go with them. You can pause at the 4th sprite while he talks while floating mid-air.

These are NPCs from my own game (the storyline above is also from my game), but they're generic enough to fit into most projects. I hope you find space in your game to save this street urchin!
