I had to take a trip and speak to Carmilla today.
WHO THE HELL IS CARMILLA??? I'll get to that in a bit.
Five hours ago, while having a little down-time, I got hit with an excruciating pain in my side. It wasn't just stinging, but a constant shooting pain. It was so bad, I actually felt myself begin to sweat. Fearing a possible issue with my appendix, I definitely got street clothes on (apart from my slippers) and drove straight to the hospital.
Check-in was fast, and getting the triage work done was fast. It took about 10-to-15 minutes for CARMILLA THE VAMPIRE to show up. Yeah, she wanted a sample of my BLOOD for lab tests. There. That's, my reference for Carmilla the Vampire. Any nurse who takes blood is Carmilla (though this one was kinda cute). Sadly, she couldn't get any blood outta my arms and had to call someone else to do it for her.
By that point, the pain in my side went up another few notches. On a scale from 1-10, it was definitely a solid 8.
It took a while (don't ask how long), but she was able to get another to show up. Not a nurse, but a doctor. He was able to get the IV needle in to draw the blood. And with the IV needle present, gave me a shot of SOMETHING that began to work in five minutes. By the time he connected the drip bag for the CTC scan and etc, I could feel the pain go away.
Watched what I thought was what's left of the Redskins/Giants game (Yes, I'm going by its original, Native-American approved name), had the CTC scan, and then watched Gordon Ramsey's: Secret Service. Woof, that diner was BAAAAAD.
I had no idea what time it was. I could look outside and still see daylight, so that was a good thing. I figured... two or three hours tops. NOPE! I was there for five hours! It was 7pm. Turns out, its a kidney stone. A painful one, but they got me some prescriptions (I'm refusing the OXYCODONE!!!!) and I took a trip to my CVS Pharmacy. Yeah, they closed at 6pm... ugh.
Tomorrow, I'm taking a trip in the morning for DRUGS!
