Your tutorial will definitely help me! I will test out re-creating the hair of yours with alterations and then keep practicing, as hair is a lot harder to me than the bodies...
Also, which program do you use to sprite? I have GIMP, GraphicsG Gale, Corel, Photoshop CS4. Which is best to use and easiest? If I may ask... :)

I mainly use GraphicsGale on WindowsXP, and Mspaint for little things like transparency stuff.
I also use KolourPaint in linux, a clone of MsPaint that totally blows it away because it has shortcuts for the functions.

Ah and Mtpaint (available for linux and windows) is also good, used it for a while before i found KolourPaint ^^
