Announcements and Updates
As a heads up, Strange Automaton announced Fall Plans to migrate the forum away from its current software to either SMF of phpBB as both free open-souce platforms are much more current and better maintained than what we are currently using. The only other option is the use of vBulletin which would add an additional $200 licensing cost. In the meantime, Strange Automaton would wish to remind all that donations are appreciated, their funds for server costs and labor.

General Chat
This week's News of the World has Social Media attack former Barack Obama as the FBI and DOJ reveal more evidence indicting his administration over Russiagate. Current President Trump had even more court victories, though not against his attempt to restrict birthright citizenship and a Chicago judge's work to keep sanctuary city policies in place. And on a financial note, it was revealed that Biden's Department of Transportation spent $80 billion on DEI grants while actually delaying upgrades, the $100 Million earned by FireAid for California Wildfire victims had vanished, and Big Pharma is now in panic mode as Trump's 200% Tariffs are rapidly approaching. Of drugs, Canada is now facing a nationwide shortage of Percocet, Tylenol #3, and any prescription-level drugs with codeine or oxycodone. But also in Canada, there is serious criticism as the leaders of the Freedom Convoy protest to Trudeau's Covid restriction are facing 8 years jail time and property siesures. The war between Ukraine and Russia continues despite peace talks scheduled in Turkey. Ukraine had requested long-range missiles from the US while Russia attacks more civilians and found forcing Ukraine's own kidnapped teens pressed to the front lines. In the Middle-East, the E3 (UK, France and Germany) established that UN sanctions will be re-imposed if nothing progresses by August, they refuse the IAEA inspections, and refuse to address the 400Kilos of uranium that was actually near weapons-grade. Hamas representatives pulled out of Qatar's peace talks, but claimed surprise at the US's envoy's criticism despite Hamas prolonging the war and obstructing humanitarian aid. Since then, Hamas has now given direct orders to kill the hostages if any further rescue operation is attempted. Israel's Netanyahu now looks for other routes to end Hamas's rule of terror and bring the remaining hostages home. The same UnitedHeath Group, whose CEO was killed last year, now under a DOJ investigation, Hunter Biden's colorful rant against the entire Democrat machine, the mass murders attributed to Cartels in Sinaloa, Mexico, French President Macron pushing for Palestine statehood, Trump working on a ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand, Druze minorities in Syria being slaughtered, French authorities investigate if Jewish passengers were removed from flight due to religion, and much, much more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week, the problems with AI reared its head in the News of the Cyber World, whether it taught a man to build bombs, or an AI itself went rogue to delete its company database and then tried to cover it up. Even creepier, journalists for the Atlantic was able to get ChatGPT to offered advice on worshiping the devil, including child sacrifice and body mutilation. China working to bypass export controls on Nvidia chips and a man pleades guilty to steal US military secrets on behalf of China also hit the cybernews this week.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Graphic works were What's up with some RMers as Steel Beast 6Beet appreciated the appearance of a character in Remi-chan's game. And DerVVulfman relayed his Half Kaiser project is now getting robe belts of a sort. But after that, DerVVulfman announced he resumed work on an editor for his Lip Sync system.

Scripts Database
RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine
For anyone using RPGMaker XP and do not wish to keep using the "Show Text" event to describe items lost or gained as the result of an action, then the KChangeCmdMsg script may be for you. Released early this week, kyonides updated his work with the ability to automate the message and include party members as those joining or leaving just the same.

RPGMaker VX/VXAce (RGSS2/3) Engines
If you have need for some automation in your game, then KChangeCmdMsg for RPGMaker VX and VXAce may be for you. Designed by kyonides, it allows you to ignore the old routine of using "Show Text" to display what goods your party found or lost. But with a recent update, also enabled to indicate changes within the party.

Resources Database
2D Resources
There is water everywhere, whether it is where he lives or within his art. So if one needs more aquatic life, the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V could be what you need. This week, more aquarium tanks have appeared, with less than common sealife, octopus. shrimp and more. Hopefully, there will be more updates. But Ace_V may have some downtime with the current rainfall taking place where he lives.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
For thise who wish to attend his 18th composition, DoubleX Music Room is open to all. His recent composition entitled "Never Get Anything Right" is a piece that embodies how one feels when unable to do anything right, but leaving things on their own is no better. It begins with light strings accented by light piano keys in a harmony that rises for a time and then falls, later being accented by the delicate chimes that mayhap be DoubleX 's signature. But midway through, a low and plodding drum like a heartbeat appears.

Well, that's it for this week.
