The KameSoft (formerly KGC) Thread
#1
Dear friends,

A long time ago when the RPG Maker line began to flourish for PC use, a Japanese site known as KGC Software appeared.  They had innovative scripts for RPGMaker XP game development, many of which were recreated at times. The site did have some unfortunate policies such as no duplication of their works in other sites and no commercial use permitted. These two factors made talk of their scripts marginally difficult when forum administrators took notice.

After some time, it appeared that KGC Software had vanished some time a decade ago, and with that their content.  But that was not the case at all.

Rebranded and with new urls, the content is now under the KameSoft name.

The rules they put in place have severely relaxed, allowing for commercial use, allowing for posting of their content with a request of notification whence done, merely a request to give credit rather than a requirement, and even age restriction or limit on content maturity on games where used have been lifted.

In truth, the actual KGC scripts of old, and KameSoft RPGMaker MV plugins of new could be re-posted within Save-Point. But rather than that, a new thread within the main post of the Scripts Database has been created. HERE  From this thread, you can navigate to the individual pages of KameSoft software for the scripts or plugins you desire, the thread in English for your convenience.

Do note that Kamesoft/KGC Software scripts are in Japanese.  Understandably, it is recommended that you translate the instructions at the top of each script in use.

This is pretty awesome! I knew I recognized "KGC" from somewhere... Turns out I had implemented their Conditional Skills in my RMXP project way back in 2005.

Nice to see links to the other scripts!

You may want to RE-update it.  The latest RMXP edition of Conditional Skills was released on September 13 of 2005. Winking

And there are downloadable all-script demos for RPGMaker XP and RPGMaker VX on their specific pages.  In Japanese of course.

I just might! After I resolve a few more kinks with other scripts and finish up another cutscene...while nursing a sore wrist   Crying with a grin
