No, I mean I wish I had a detailed background image of my city, you know, like the background image you have in the screenshot.

I don't think I would have come ot that conclusion, had I not read Olivias post, but...yeah, i can kinda see that.
But I think this may be caused due to the quality and size of the image. Once it's inked and colored, that impression will probably fade.
I just picked up my DSLite, to check someting in a game of mine, and all I can think is "...has this always been this tiny??"
It's been less then a month since I got the 3DS XL, but aparently I'm allready well used to it's size. (It's especially funny to me since, after holding that one for the first time, I felt that it was uncomfortably large compared to said DSLite Xb)

I had to look up a picture of the female reproduction system and I still don't see any connection...
Also, it is hard for me to colour a paperdrawn image... And I'm afraid to colour it in real life because I might colour it badly and ruin the drawing. Likewise for inking.

Well, you are the artist. Your look on the image will awlays be diffrent Xb And it really is just a vage connection in the first place.
As for your worry in regards to coloring: this is something I am familiar with.
What I used to do was making a copy of the image, either by tracing or with a copy machine. As a backup, so to speak, and only then I would do the propper lineart, regardless of if I wanted to finish it handdrawn or scan it and color it on the PC.
I definately had the same fear of 'I don't want to ruin this'.

I have 40 lessons of school I have to do in about 24 hours, and I have a ton of things to get done within that span of time. 
I SHALL PERSEVERE! 
After all, I only need a 60% in the classes to pass, and I'm almost there 
Although, I wanna work on my RPG Maker game while my ideas are still fresh...
