@DerVV:
What can I say, I'm a man of evidence. If someone says something I don't agree with, I'm going ask them to prove it, otherwise I'm not obliged to believe it is true. If I agree with something, it is likely that I believe it is true. But even some things I agree with, I still ask for proof.
As for that, no, I'm not "offended" at all. At most, bemused. You, however, have certainly gotten emotional and likely for good reasons, but as they say: when you get emotional, you get irrational.

Ok, so you in particular had a triple rate for insurance, but we can't use that alone to suggest that everyone else is too. In anycase, there are equally as many people who benefit from it.
However, hypothetically conceding to your points, as I have said:
I would rather trust law breakers than people who would rather deny you equal rights because of religious reasons.
The lesser of two evils is the progressive screwup than the regressive tyrant. And anyone who opposes equal rights and poses legislature to deny those rights to certain people are tyrants in my eyes.

I'm gonna largely stay out of this because I didn't come here to trade blows with anyone about politics or religion. But I will go on record and say that I like dudes and as such republicans are not my friends. Democrats may not be perfect but I have yet to see a single democratic "god hates fags" rally. Call me crazy but I'll vote for the party that isn't going to try and incinerate me on a burning cross. Laughing + Tongue sticking out

Now to lighten the mood a little here's a little Lewis Black wisdom...

yeah the killer int he republican base is their moral understanding of sex and religion.
they dont see the irony of being against sharia law but passing transphobic or homophobic laws(or like here in texas) baring atheists from running for office.
conservatives themselves have varying degrees of intellectual honesty but the actual politicians are immoral and simply wrong.
It that simple and it wont change until we destroy this two party nonesense.

there is no right coming from two wrongs-
take it from south park

in the episode Stan doesnt vote which makes everyone in town call him a communist because voting is often seen as better than the choices given.

On another note- I started on the short music for regals music pack. you know the jingles basically. and theme tunes.

you guys and your internet feelings. wtf....

ahzoh, you get offended by all kinds of dumb stuff, and i can pull quotes from other threads. Dervv, you take this all way to seriously/personally to be objective in what you pick as criticisms, all those points are faux news talking points that uneducated/unobservant people at walmart will mindlessly parrot if you ask them the right trigger questions. the degree to which people are brainwashed to say word for word exactly what they hear on tv is appalling in this country.

i still want to know, what's so great about being a republican? i still haven't gotten that 'aha' moment yet from any of you.

I'm not going to keep this going Kas, oh ye Insect Overlord. Though it seems my links outside of Fox news aren't accepted either. Insofar as personal issues, plenty, justified and experienced first hand.

And let's leave it at that.

For me Fox lost it's standing as a credible news source when I noticed they keep getting maths wrong.

I'm not even going to debate Fox's brand of propaganda or fear-mongering (I'm looking at you Glenn Beck and your magical swastika chalkboard), the numbers, purely just the numbers. If you consistently keep getting the numbers wrong I'm going to start questioning your work ethic. 1 person interviewed or 1000000 interviewed is still 100% of people interviewed. How or why Fox can't seem to grasp basic elementary school math on a regular basis is beyond me.

Let us consider this:
http://psp.sagepub.com/content/38/6/808
http://phys.org/news/2012-04-effort-opinions.html
Keywords: "To be clear, we are not saying that conservatives think lightly" and "The researchers stressed that their results should not be interpreted to suggest that conservatives are not thoughtful"

In anycase:
No, there is no valid, well-thought-out reason to be a republican. Just because the Dems are fucking law-breaking screw-ups doesn't mean that you should vote for the likes of Ted Cruz or Jeb Bush, who would like to revert the social progress this country has made. Are you frankly aware that most nations that restricts people's freedoms also happen to be conservative? Saudi Arabia, Iran, and China for example.
The facts are all there that you are voting against your own interests.
So you can show me all the news articles you want about Hillary Clinton and law-breaking A.G.s and the fucking IRS and how much a failure Obamacare is (it's not), but that doesn't make the Republicans any better; on the contrary, history shows just how much worse they've become.

Really, the only reason most people vote Democrat or Republican these days is solely out of brand loyalty...
All I'll say on the matter...

One of the factors in voting for a person is whether you feel they are the right person for the job. Part of that would be their trustworthiness, and at no point has either Clinton or Obama shown that. I will say that I have nothing against Bernie Sanders, but there is no way I can accept someone into office who clearly broke the law and should be up on felony charges.

And don't get me wrong insofar as political affiliations. Dependent on who was running, I was close to voting Obama in 2008. But it was his immediate actions thereafter which soured my disposition. I could create a list, but you'd still say 'who cares'.

In 2012? Heck no. But you had to have some idiot named Harry Reid who caused a stink by blatantly lying about Romney's tax records. Oh, he got away with it without charges because he presented it within an open debate rather than a news announcement and he's thoroughly enjoying it.

Moral fiber? I wouldn't want to vote for any party who founded the Klu Klux Klan. Just google 'KKK party' and you'll be able to read History.com's article where it was established to fight the Republican party's effort to give equality to blacks, or see a thread entitled 'KKK Terrorist Arm of the Democratic Party'.

Do you wish to talk current events with Iran and how our issues with that dictatorship was formed?

One can go back to Jimmy Carter. Well, in truth, he meant well by his actions. But it was his demands upon Iran in the interests of human rights and the withholding of funds to the mullahs which forced the Shah of Iran into exile, turning Iran into a dungeon state. History.com actively states that the Iran Hostage drama began the moment the Shah was permitted into the U.S. for cancer treatment, but was used to expout anti-American sympathies and bolster the Ayatollah. And they stated that many other crisis could have been averted had this not taken place.

And I was around during the Hostage drama.

At the same time, you may also read in History.Com about the CIA involvement in oil takeover and setting up the Shah in power in 1951-1953. But who was the president then? Harry S. Truman, another Democrat.

Democrats literally started our fiasco with Iran. I can see why Obama would like to end it. I really would. But Iran had not kept a single promise since, have been lying to the United Nations Atomic Energy department, funded terrorism around the world, and are still chanting 'Death to America' just hours after the supposed summit agreement. In no way would they honor any agreement now. Hell, they're already saying the agreement we're hearing is a lie.

I choose to recall the lessons of history rather than be doomed to repeat it. And I will not choose among those who cannot be either trusted by their actions, or those that ignore things as they happen. As one said: the Truth is the truth whether you like it or not. But I will not choose those that obscure the truth by ways of lying, decieving and choosing to play ignorant.

So your only source is History.com?
Tthat is not a very credible source, given its reputation for hosting bullshit.
DerVV, can you please think for yourself instead of parroting rightwing talking points? I've heard all these before!

In addition, here, let me spell out the math:
The KKK existed in most Southern States.
The Southern States are mostly Red States.
The Southern States are very religious and conservative.
The KKK are very religious and conservative.
The Southern States had slavery once. In fact that was part of the reason why the civil war was fought.
It logically follows that most, if not all, KKK members were republican.

Your statement doesn't add up, nor is it even remotely likely. Do some actual research, not fucking History.com!
