Here an idea: post a youtube video clip of where you think Wakka said or done something racist. I mean what better proof than by video?

I'm guessing it's because X caters more to that anime style that fans of the series like whereas XII is more like a western fantasy, with a big focus on politics and less over-the-top action.
Personally, I prefer XII because I prefer its story and richer characterisation but I can see how someone who expected something a bit more animesque would be disappointed with it.
