 RPG 95
#1
Not sure if this is right place to post this. Not really a serious post, just a bit of fun.

Playing around with RPG 95 for, as the mountaineers say, no other reason than it is there!

See how small the character is!

Also, still trying to remove white background to the battle messages. I think fiddling with the system file is involved. I suspect that this system is so old that no one cares anymore. Also, you can't really break it or make it worse. However, an interesting historical project I thought that I would share.

Screenshots as attachments as I wasn't sure how to add into the thread itself, or indeed if you could.

If not suitable, it can always be deleted.

Heh. Yes, the System settings in RPGMaker 96 were pretty much fixed. And... it was like only four tilesets, one character set sheet and everything in .bmp format? Yeah, RPGMaker 2000 was definitely an upgrade, wasn't it?

Not gonna ask where you got it (I have a vague idea anyhoo). But for the unaware, Enterbrain had a value-pack for RM95 a decade ago (Japan only of course) that included a CD of the game music available.

EDIT: Oh, and moved from General Chat to Game Development. Winking

Thanks for that. I don't think anyone will worry about that system now. But interesting to compare available events with those in newer versions. Some haven't changed much at all. Also some graphics like the switch lever, for example, are identical to those in XP and Ace. Why fix what's not broken I guess!

You're making me want to reopen 2003! That was my favourite for a long time, just wish it had a larger resolution.
