First off......

Ticked off $%&*#$&*#$&#$&#*!!!!!!!!!

When I was working on the companion system, I initially had rewrites of both 'range' and 'explode' systems... but I totally failed to PASTE THEM INTO THE FINAL PRODUCT? UGH!!! Gonna have to redo those. My bad.

As to 'COMPANION_ERASE', it removes the companion from the screen when killed rather than leaving a dead body on the screen. It has nothing to do with keeping him playable or not.

You may have lost your main playable character and it rotated to the next available 'companion' so you can continue. There is a feature you can turn on/off. And don't forget that revive items (tonic) can restore you if you still have a tonic when you die.

BUT... Yeah, I gotta re-write those two methods. *sigh*

Bump to version 2.0

Thanks to an RPGMaker Community member named polo12 , it was discovered that I left a few routines that allowed the companions to perform ranged and explosive attacks ON THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR!!! *sigh* Yeah, I forgot to paste them in my script.

Fixed! And polo12? You're not credited in the script!

And on top of that, I retooled the system so enemies and companions detect one another much better!

Oh, and I added a little touch added so you can set how far companions will move aside when you hit the SCATTER key.

Bump to 2.2

A little modification has been added so you can control how wide an area you have when the companions are set to 'destroy'

Also touched up is the 'in_direction' feature if the player is using Sasha's Diagonal Combat.

.... a little cleanup too...

Bump to version 2.4

First off, I fixed a goofy li'l bug that was reported by polo12. It was related to an old JUMP command when a companion gets hit.

Then I fixed a couple of routines that didn't have proper anti NIL value checking that went to the Game_Batltler code. Polo12 noted that there was a problem being passed to Game_Battler as well.

To Polo12: Regarding the movement thing... Are you trying to change the player's speed in a script? The old_speed value only gets changed for the player when using DASH/SNEAK routines. It shouldn't pop up at all unless you have some script conflict I'm not aware.

Hey derv it's sure have been so long since your last post but i have find a massive bug
My Hero can still be used even if he/she is death,how strange...

Polo12 of Save-Point.Org discovered that the player can still show up alive even with the knockout state in effect. Work was done to rectify it, and went even further to clean up the way you can cycle through the party members.

Urp. The enemies and allies in that map don't have a 'RESPAWN' comment. Nothing set for them. Winking with a tongue sticking out So it's not a script error, but an error how the soldiers were created.
