I am currently working to integrate this script in a game project for Siletrea

It's awesome and I'm getting the hang of doing the codes (granted a tad tedious, but looks great). I also have gotten most of the it set up to about look the way I want it, but is there a way to temporarily disable the script or make the message box show as normal when needed? I do have a back up script that I plan to use if this isn't possible, it's just this one looks more decorative and has more possibilities and is great when chatting up NPCs or when there's multiple NPCs. But she wants full portraits with body poses for the main character(s). I know this script has a portrait/face set up but it's probably too small to the project maker's liking as she wants to utilize portrait poses and thus we need a larger chat box to display in a larger area to use with the bust. Any ideas or help would be appreciated ^^;; Thank you in advance.
Update: I've got an idea and tinkered, to use a script in "invisible mode" to
make a chatbox or message box at the bottom screen, but have issues with the text being behind the picture. Found a script does that but it shows the picture "bust" above the first map layer instead of over the whole tileset and below events and player as mentions. In other words, it technically works but,... the tiles above the base tile is showing above the picture >< I'm needing it show over everything really or well, have the text on top but below the picture X.x;;. If that makes any sense X.x

Update: Ok after a bunch of testing, I found that in the script I had tried to use to correct this, that it would work if the tiles didn't have any higher priority than the character (or 1-5, this is for allowing the character to move behind a object tile), not practical unless you don't want the character to be able to move behind anything (unless through cutscenes), which in our case, isn't good.
So now I'm changing my request for any help in making this script go over "everything". The way the game will be set up on chatting will work fine with this/text/boxes just going over everything. Since needing to read what characters say if pretty important :) Again, thanks for any help ^^

The coding is a bit... tedious. And yeesh, he included the Ultimate Exterior Tileset that is nearly 2Meg in itself?
I don't see an easy way to disable it at all. It would have been nice if he included classic message windows as an option. If you want classic style too, I would recommend Wachunga's Multiple Message Windows. It's out there on the net somewhere. We don't have it here.

Yeah it is quite tedious X.x
I figure disabling is not quite the word I was looking for, it's more or less getting the event's text to appear above the picture instead of behind.
thanks for the suggested script, I found it fairly quick and am eyeballing another of his scripts. You wouldn't happen to know if it's commercial usable would ya? I saw he had posted on some blog that was dated a couple of years ago that he no longer supports or keeps up with his old scripts, but just wanted to be sure.

Bumping the thread. Still look for any ways to make the script go over pictures or know if Wachunga's script is commercial usable.

When someone openly posts resources that they have crafted, it is given that the works are freely usable. Only if the creator places terms regarding usage within the body of work, within the containing website page, ro the like would this be different.
As an example of protection, the KDC scripts have within the webpage of origin that all KDC scripts are not commercial use and cannot be posted elsewhere (granted, the terms are in Japanese). Likewise, ccoa posted the only permitted sites to host her UMS system (Save-Point used to be known as RMVXPUniverse ^_^ ), and her page states it is licensed, so you must pay for commercial usage (very hard now she's absent).
That is not to say that someone won't take a resource and post it without the creator's terms. So it is sometimes problematic to see if a work is fully usable. But this site does endeavor to post the user's true conditions and uphold their wishes. In that, no KDC scripts are permitted here.
THAT BEING THE CASE..... Wachunga had freely posted his scripts within his own github. There are no terms and conditions within his posts, the scripts, or the readmes visible in his pages. The github is open for public viewing. And as a bonus, you can even see his real name for credit use! David Hirtle.
With that, you should be able to enjoy using his message system in your commercial project with no problem. Oh... take a look at his Fog of War script while you're at it. We prolly have a demo linked in here.

Oooh thanks ! :D I was eyeballing that and his footprint script :D Thank you! I now at least have a pretty good alternative that I may be able to work with :D
