Confusion and comical apprehension was on the mind of kyonides when he saw an unexpected shot of DerVVulfman. However, DerVVulfman offered no explanation.
Of course Save-Point is an indie game development forum. However, if history is your thing, then kyonides found something for You Can YouTubing with the history of one of the most popular Fighting Arcade games from the 90s.

Tech Talk
This week, Artificial intelligence hit the News of the Cyber World as a chatbot was taken down for mocking a Democrat candidate that Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi endorsed, a chatbot set up by a fellow Democrat running for the same office. Meanwhile, a recent poll showed that 60% of US citizens approve of stronger oversight of social media companies.

Development Discussion
Replacements for the RPGMaker engine appears to be What's up with, RMers? as kyonides announced his work on HiddenChest's executable, adding the ability to read two controllers at the same time for head-to-head gameplay. For this, he had to perform some changes to a full key script he previously released. However, both Ace_V and Mel were in awe over Son_Rukiri's RPGMaker Editor and its capability to expand the number of map layers at will. Still, DerVVulfman was curious if it could work with Linux as kyonides's replacement.
Complete Projects
If you think your job is a mess, be glad you don't work for the pig of a boss at Arden Inc. The new game for the 2026 Save-Point Game Jam by Pherione and MetalRenard, you are a Fairy in training having to perform odd jobs on demand. A mini-game laden game that keeps score throughout, it has a music score by MetalRenard himself.
Upcoming Projects
Just beginning this week is Devil's Redemption, a game by krayedon that is the first posted in our forum using RPG Paper Maker. Like any game in its early stages, gameplay and graphics may change during development.
Released for the forum's 2026 Game Jam, DerVVulfman posted Faetal Night. A game that tells the tale of a heroic journey into the realm of the Fairies, DerVVulfman revealed that he stuck with the four-day window that barely gave him time for the opening sequence of events and gameplay.

Material Development
Tools
This week, kyonides put out a pre-release edition of the HiddenChest RGSS Player Executable. Though only a Linux build is available, it has a newer version of Ruby, while repairing a bug that existed in prior version 3.0 releases of Ruby. Other features such as the ability to recognize two controllers for head-to-head gameplay, updates to the sound system and more have also been included in the Linux edition.
Scripts Database
HiddenChest (RGSS1-3) Engine
The engine that kyonides has been developing as a replacement executable for RPGMaker line is capable of resizing the gaming window. However, that is not enough for those using the default scripts from RPGMaker XP or VX. For that, DerVVulfman posted Graphic Resize your Maps (XP/VX versions). His post contains two small scripts that alter the default code used by VX and XP, updating their viewports and character map-scroll limits based on whatever game resolution is enacted. The scripts do not affect the battlesystem design, but DerVVuflman explained the code itself is simple to study and implement for battle.

If one traveled the world, they would encounter many cultures, each withtheir own practices and religions. And with that, the nomadic people that have been added to the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V now has a religious leader of their own. Clad in robes and head coverings in slate, a mullah now appears. His vestments trimmed in gold, he is very Sheik.
Well, that's it for this week.
