(March 17 to March 23, 2025)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
General Chat
This week, the hope of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine hit the News of the World as President Trump made various calls, one suggesting the US take ownership of Ukraine's power plants to make Russia wary of attack. But a cease fire hadn't begun as Russian drones continue to strike. Meanwhile, violence in the middle east intensifies as Syria strikes back at Hezbollah for executing nationals, Israel shoots down Houthi missiles and the US launches attacks against Houthi bases. But while Iran responds to the attack on the Houthis, an Iranian official exposes Tehran's global assassination program. In the US, the Trump administration is facing legal battles, be it Judges blocking deportation orders of immigrants caught relaying Hamas propaganda online or judges freezing efforts despite the EPA alone finding a quarter of a Trillion slush funds set up by the Biden administration. But Florida Governor relayed to the press that this judicial sabotage was quite predictable. It was a shock this week when the Mayor of Istanbul was arrested on charges of terrorism. Many think it politically motivated Lawfare as the man is a political rival to President Erdogan, and worry that Turkey's democracy is endangered with autocratic rule. Three Tesla arsonists hit with federal charges, all with molotovs and one with a rifle fitted with a silencer, Greenpeace losing in court over trespassing, conspiracy and violence charges, Heathrow Airport's daylong closure, Pennsylvania Governor Fetterman's rebuttal to New York's AOC, the arrest of Philippines ex-President Duterte's for crimes against humanity, the death of George Foreman, and much more hit this week's news.

Development Discussion
This week, the skill of pixelwork spriting was What's up among RMers DerVVulfman and Remi-chan, he continuing work upon his Half Kaiser Battler Project, and she receiving new resoures from Rune and CoyoteCraft. Meanwhile kyonides warned all that RPGMaker Unite still exists, but DerVVulfman relayed that he saw it within a charity package with advertised prices overblown.

Complete Projects
Continuing her voyage in replacing her AI generated art, Starmage not only replaced the cover art to A Maiden's Ballad, but delivered a major update, enhancing the visual splendor and battlesystem graphics whilst providing a new update trailer.

Material Development
Scripts Database
RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine
It was nearly two decades since Wachunga released his massive dialogue system that rivaled Ccoa's UMS and Dubealex's Advanced Message system. But now, DerVVulfman put forth his expansion, the Multiple Message Windows Extended. Along with features from the original, name boxes, profiles and extended choice options are now available.

If you wish to limit the number of events that trigger weather events, perhaps KWeatherArea XP would be perfect. Within, you an actually script out areas that would trigger a weather effect upon entering.

RPGMaker VX/VXAce (RGSS2/3) Engines
If you wish to limit the number of events that trigger weather events, perhaps KWeatherArea VX + ACE would be perfect. Within, you an actually script out areas that would trigger a weather effect upon entering. Originally, it was only the VX port within the thread, but hours later the VXAce port emerged, difficult as there were structural changes made within the Game_Screen and Game_Map class.

Resources Database
2D Resources
If you are interested in the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V, you would find that Ace_V decide to revisit the Street Urchin he posted last week, releaing some characterset files that deliver new animations, be it hugs, screams or whatnot. They are taken from hiw own game, but still free to use.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
If you want something light and playful, the thread with Eric Matyas's Original Music and Sound FX now has three variations of his latest composition, "Pixel Balloons". A light but fast-paced drumbeat, eletric piano or chimes are just backdrops to the melodious synth pops .

Art and Design
More detailed brickwork by Eric Matyas has appeared within the Massive Library of Free Images, be it finely detailed cobblestone in moss green and blue-gray, or cinderblock and heavy brickwork ashen.

Just as there were two weeks ago, character sketches were released within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing! Her first, a fae not only malevolent but a plague upon legendary bestowers of luck and promises. But her second, a fun loving and friendly denizen of the same realm where the Immoral Architect hails.

Filmography
After entering the foyer of Remi-chan's Cinematic Theatre, those familiar with her past work would notice a wholly new reshot of the battle between heroes and heroines possessed. But while Remi-chan is trying to decide upon a voice for a central character for these scenes, she realizes the final reveal cinematic is still pressing.

Well, that's it for this week.
