Just like last week, Myrmidon came in and admitted he joined our forum to acquire scripts for RPGMaker VXAce. However, he appreciates our forum and is thinking about sticking around seeing that our site has a lot of history. He was greeted by DerVVulfman who noticed his scripting skills was based on trial and error, and said he was in good standing as that was how many learned.

General Chat
The Ukraine/Russia war hit the News of the World after Ukraine's massive strike that blew up Russia's Nuclear bomber base with Ukraine then blowing up the Kirch Bridge that connects Russia to Crimea. Russia did strike back, launching the most powerful attack against Ukraine, delivering both missile and drone strikes agaainst Kharkiv. Following this, Ukraine destroyed over a dozen Russian tanks and one hundred armored vehicles. Despite that and the financial crisis is facing, Russian soldiers advanced into a new region in Ukraine as it was revealed Moscow's end game is to take over half of Ukraine by next year. The South China sea also hit the news of thw world as the US sends an Amphibious Warship to Japan, this as China sends military ships along the Spratley Islands. China had long claimed they own the China sea that also includes the waters of the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan and others. But now Japan intercepted two Chinese Destroyers crossing into their waters. The war between Israel and Hamas continues. And despite Hamas being a terrorist organization, the UN Security Council attempted to force a ceasefire with the US vetoing the measure. But it isn't just that war to be wary, as its been revealed that Iran is purchasing missile fuel from China and still working with their proxies. Contering all the rising threats, Turkey began building its own Aircraft Carrier. Stationed in Istanbul, the Mugem will be armed with combat drones and light jets. Within the US, the rift between President Trumpand Elon Musk was popular news, Elon's own father actually criticising his own son's comments. Formerly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia is back in the States, but now facing numerous charges of human trafficking that spans a decade. The United Healthcare CEO killer's diary was used during his trial revealing his motives, months of planning and surveillance of his victim. And there have been numerous food safety recalls, be it Dr. Pepper recalls, or recall over Salmonella in Egg, and various vegetable produce in Kroger and Albertsone stores. Canadian wildfires, India invited to the G7, Biden's response to the Autopen stories and more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week, data breaches continue to hit the News of the Cyber World, this time 30 million customers from Santander Bank by the same group that broke into Ticketmaster last year, and 86 million AT&T customers with half of them including social security numbers. The realm of AI is going back and forth as it was just revealed that Microsoft's AI created startup chatbots were not made by AI as advertised, but by human coders. The appearance of the Claude 4 Opus AI now makes it near impossible to tell the difference beteen AI and human, now considered an even higher risk in the realm of blackmail and extotion. And following lawsuits against OpenAI over claims of copyright theft, ChatGPT's latest memory feature has been ordered to remember all conversations including those that were meant to be deleted, this to prevent deletion of incriminating evidence during the currently numerous ongoing lawsuits. New Switch II consoles arriving with puncture holes in the screens, the social media challenge called dusting taking another life, Youtube pushing even more advertisements in their service and more hit this week's cybernews.

Games Development
Development Discussion
If you were curious about What's up among the forum's RMers, DerVVulfman finished working on the weapon templates for his Half Kaiser Battler project and labored upon the various shields until only two sets remain. And of the project to craft events that could travel from map to map, that too was completed and released within a thread within the Scripts Database. Following that, Remi-chan appeared and posted new screenshots from her game. But along with the screenshots, she revealed one more character portrait by Pjcr, and sprites by Xiie (or Rune in our forum) and by Coyotecraft.

This past week, Remi-chan entered the Maps and screenshots thread and was elated by the comments made by Tigerus Fay about her game's art. After giving credit to the artists who did such labor, Remi-chan presented even newer renders, both charactersets and in game settings such as the Bloodletter's battle arena.

Material Development
Scripts Database
RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine
Early this week, DerVVulfman posted a script that creates NPCs, a variation of RPGMaker XP events. But unlike normal map events that are tied to the map in which they are created, these are events that are able to be taken from map to map, and contains actor data.

If anyone using RPGMaker XP wished that there was a mechanism to help save their progress, DerVVulfman crafted Autosave on Leveling. With it, a new savegame file is made each time a partymember gains a level. Included are two individual menu scripts that alter the Save/Load menu, though sadly some default methods do need rewrites or edits.

For those that do not want all the flash of a custom menu script but would still appreciate some character artwork to be present when dialogue was delivered, DerVVulfman took some time to release Animated Message Profiles. Designed to work with the default message window, it can render character portraits behind the message window, even going so far as to allow multiple portait frames to show or repeat in sequence.

2D Resources
Christmas in July continues for those gazing at the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V. To accompany last week's lantern, Ace_V created a new character sprite of an animated Christmas Tree, with and without presents.

Creativity Section
Art and Design
After all the fan-art she illustrated, Starmage's Arts and Training Journey comes full circle as she takes those newly developed skills to draw the devlish lead to one of her own games. Caught in nothing but black briefs, Delvin couldn't be more red if he tried.

After taking a small vacation from her projects, new illustrations have now appeared within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing! The first work you may gaze upon is that of Anethema, a demoness that has appeared before, replete with her bloody butcherknife blouse. Her second work would more accurately be considered a comic book or manga illustration as she pit hero against villain, and the bewilderment that surfaces after a lethal strike does not go as expected.

Literature
This is the second time that a youtube link appears within Remi-chan's Writing Snippets~, but this in accompaniment with a quote and backstory from her current gaming project. However, while the quote is present, the video contains much more as it is also a sampling of Remi-chan's more recent vocal hires.

Filmography
For those who paid a ticket to enter Remi-chan's Cinematic Theatre, they would gaze upon new footage for her game, Fantasia. Cutscene introductions of major players have been recreated and cinematics with new vocal work for Sacre Blu are present for viewing pleasure.

Well, that's it for this week.

The NPC script looks very intriguing! Thanks for making and publishing that one (and the other two scripts!), DerVVulfman!
