ok if you have all those things, then i really don't know what is wrong with the rpg player, was it at least loading up into a window and then crashing or just crashing straight away?? (just wondering)
I am really sorry about this, just trying to eliminate possibilities.
Future versions will have an error logging features, so hopefully, i might be able to see exactly where it is crashing in the future:cheery:
Just remember it is an alpha and is really really early material so will have bugs-a-plenty, thats why i was counting on people like you to find something i haven't so i can fix all the problems, thus making it better.
could i have a screenshot of your map in Events Mode (clearly showing start point)??
oh yeah about the tile sets i don't plan on using them in the full version, this is just for testing purposes.
i really want to get a couple of artists together to do half-kaizer sized tilesets and auto tiles, which i think would look really nice - what do you think??

I believe i have a virus running through my pc, could be that screwing me up somehow.
I plan to do a restore pretty soon and i'll try to run it again then.
Half Kaizer is very nice, THE reason i began making templates and tilesets myself (thanks SK), i've worked on a few frames for them but i never completed hole character sets, too big for my taste (takes me too long to complete a single character).
If you go with HK i suggest you inquire about the newest version, you may have to ask the guy himself though because he's not released that yet i think, makes the others look bad imo.

hmm interesting, you have found a bug, yay, another fix for me to do.
Try filling up all the empty tiles please, and try again, and oh yeah you will want to change the z-order of the tops of the trees (all tiles for the tree above the tree stump) up by 1 (otherwise you will get the tiles drawing wrong - half of your character will be cut off lol), remember to up the z-order by 1 of any tile on the same cell on layer 3 as well (if you know what i mean)

E- I also have plans to have some side-view battler templates made as well, that way we will be able to have lots of awesome graphics in this engine, I just know it is going to take ages to do (graphics wise) lol
I'll do that later on, i have to do a few things first and then restore my pc.

I have been working really hard on the new interface for RPG Inventor, and finally I have some new things to show you all.
In the next few days expect a flood of new screens, as I am making real progress now.
Update: good news I fixed the speed at which tiles are added for my new interface last night here is a quick video to show you the new fix in action

in case you are wondering what the green numbers mean that is the amount of fps i am getting during edit mode, which is good considering i also have recording software running as well.
