 Alisha's Storage Containers (Exclusives)
#1
Alisha's Storage Containers
Ver 4.1

Introduction
This system allows you to create re-usable chests and other forms of containers on your map. Rather than just finding a chest to get your loot, you can return to the chest and put stuff back in for later. You can put items, weapons, armor and even gold into these storage containers which you can retrieve later.

Features
  • Able to retrieve and store items in reusable events
  • Able to set capacity and size limits for each chest

Instructions
The instructions are in the script. Very easy script calls to use.

Notes:
Why didn't anyone make this until now???

Okay, I have a few suggestions.

1. Put a SE when you switch among windows (I almost thought it wasn't working...).
2. Do not de-select the item when 0 or its maximum quantity is reached.
3. Let the player use both C and B to de-select an item.
4. Let the player use R and L to increase/decrease quantity by 10.

That's all for now.
Did I mention I love this?

  1. Was thinking that
  2. When the items reach '0', they get removed from the list like if you use up all your items normally. I had problems otherwise, with reloading the wrong items.
  3. Hm. Esc/Cancel deselcts. Why NOT the [Enter/Select]? Good point.
  4. I need to work on the math formula to 'predict' the target quantity so it doesn't go beyond 99, or remove beyond '0'. Was thinking that already.

And yep. Cheery

I did none of the above ideas....

What I did perform were some bug fixes and added capacity limits. So now each chest can have a maximum capacity. You don't want to have a small jewelry box holding 50 broad swords, do you? Tongue sticking out I didn't think so. So now you can have a maximum capacity based it the 'weight' of your items, and limit the items that can even go into a chest by 'size'.

Did another upgrade. While left/right has allowed you to move a single item or piece of gold to and from a container, now you can move 'em with up/down keys too.... in quantities of 10!

Massive update to the system now. Now it's easier to see if you're drawing things out of the chest/container or out of the party item window. Faster mechanics, works with a Weights system that I worked on, allows for compatible font effects... and has been made ready for a new add-on I'm sure you'll love.

It kinda sucks when you put in a system to autodetect whether a companion/add-on script is installed or not... and you got the values reversed. Yep, I had the values reversed and had to fix that... hence the latest bump to version 4.1
