that hardly counts if you still work at the pawn shop. i used to live in a college town, and our pawn shops had whole walls dedicated to swords and handguns that dumb kids thought they could keep in their dorms.
full time jobs are overrated too, find a job you can make a living doing on commission. i work maybe 15 hours a week from home, and i'm not even a camgirl.
Oh, I got those before I worked there. I have a couple other long swords not shown from Toledo Spain. The Ball & Chain above came from England. Now my CONAN sword... yeah. Co-worker said it came with chinchilla shoes and a weasel vest.

It's not full-time. It's sort of halfway between a zero hours and a part-time.
I haven't quit yet. I know full well that making a move like that without something lined up is a dumb idea. Nonetheless, I'm looking for something else because the whole thing has just gotten worse with each passing day this month.
On the plus side, my birthday bash was awesome. Four days in London with two of my best friends! 8D Wish I was still there. :(

Meanwhile, I just learned that a site I used to visit a lot that published web mangas has been shut down recently, which makes me really sad.
There were a lot of stories that I still wanted to read. T-T
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You, too? Thought I was the only one." (C.S. Lewis) For the time you're laughing, there's nothing wrong in the world. (Colin Mochrie) If it's funny, make sure people laugh. If it's not funny, make it funny (unless it's actually really serious). (silvercheers)

Will you be there waiting by the gates of Dawn when I close my eyes forever?
So like... I finally sang this song fully, without error... I just wish I had the Instrumental version so I could overlay vocals
Gonna look for the Midi version later, and try it with that
And yes, this is another excuse to post more KAMELOT, because they are amazing, and Roy Khan's voice is an inspiration
By the way yamina-chan, aren't there more manga reading sites for you to use? Or were they unique ones you can't find elsewhere?
Either way, it's sad when a favorite site shuts down
I've recently continued to read a Manga I was casually following a few years ago, when it was printed in a Manga-magazine I was buying.
I wasn't all that interested in it back then but curiosity got the better of me a short while ago and for a while, I was really enjoying how the characters and the atory had become so much more lively and interesting compared to the early chapters. I learned of a few very interesting plotpoints that were left out in the Anime adaption that added a lot to the setting and the motives of the characters. (Also, it was one of those Animes that had a limited number of Episodes and as such, the Manga's stroy continues on.)
...
And now I am at a point where I am suddenly reminded, why it is very rare that I get invested in a Shojo Manga, because once again it suffers from the same thing that makes me loose interest: The focus is locked on the two main characters; the love interests.
Which, don't get me wrong, is pretty much the point in something that's supposed to be a romantic comedy, but... As a writer and as a reader, I wonder what suddenly happened to the other characters? A major story element that has been a part for 19 Volumes (of 37) that affected not only the main two but a whole group of people including importand members of the supporting cast has now come to an end...and...really? That is what we get?
There was a goal that everyone had been working towards for almost a year, something that was very importand for everyone to reach; something that should have an affect on everyone in the group including but not limited to the main two. Something that would affect the entire family that had formed over time.
So, how is the moment presented when that goal has finally been reached; how do we get to see everyone's reactions, something that has been such a huge part of their life and to an extend the readers as well?
We don't.
It's brought up as an afterthought in a passing conversation after the fact, with no more importance placed on it then as if you had mentioned that it had been cold yesterday.
...
What the actual **** ?!
Oh sure, there was the party celebrating the completion eventually and we got a sentence or two, but what was the focus on? Female main lead showing up in nice dress, getting told of by male main lead for missunderstanding someone's elses intentions as her escort for the night.
... OH COME ON!! I get that their relationship is the the entire point of this Series, but really?! REALLY?! Hello? This marks the end of a time that changed everyones lifes! There are more people arround that are importand to them. How about thanking the one that gave them this chance? How about the dream that was so hard to reach and was paied for in sweat and tears? Is that no longer importand? All that time, all that effort, all the memories? Aren't you happy? Aren't you sad? Aren't you supposed to CARE?!
Why didn't we get to see it? For something that played such a huge part in half of the entire series lenght, this is...
I feel angry and dissapointed. And betrayed.
Why did I even bother to get attatched to the characters, why did I hope that things go well? Why don't I get to be happy with them for making it?
It's not like it's impossible to let other main characters grow too besdies the coupple. It's not like there is a rule that everything has to resolve arround them.
It can be done. I've seen it before. And these are always the ones that are remembered fondly and talked about; because there is more to them.
At some point, a few volumes ago from where I am now, it seemed like this was one of the stories that understood that. So...what happened?
*rant over*
...
But honestly, as a writer myself, this really pissed me off. There's ten more volumes of story, but I don't think I want to bother getitng them. I don't even want to finish the one I have at the moment.

I'm at my lappy, waiting as my main PC that I do all my RPG stuff is going through a total System Factory Image restore. Ugh.... THANKFULLY, I have backed up all the critical stuff as of July 12th or so (according to the date sigs on the files in my external HDD backups). This includes all the forum stuff I added/changed/cataloged up to that date, and all the ReGaL stuff uploaded. But the external HDD doesn't have all my systems (no RPGMaker XP install... My AOL system...), but I have that somewhere else.
Sorry JayRay. Looks like it doesn't want me to mess with what you re-sent last night. It's gone AGAIN! Just like last time!!!!!

Well, that ain't no good. At least it's not a total disaster, but still.
