These samples are old vehicles I had made awhile back, I placed some character sprites in for height comparison. I haven't continued the series in a year, so I'm going to start with a fresh new approach to them this time around.

Old Sample

I wanted to start more vehicles, but this time I wanted to make a "template" for every future car, truck, van, etc I decide to make. Then I sat down and thought about what details I will be showing in the future, deciding that it would be best to actually detail the inner guts of said vehicles, even though the player will usually not see them.

"Why are you doing the mundane details, are you crazy," you ask? Nah, it'll all pay off in the long run; those details will be needed for any vehicle with an open door, a propped or missing hood, a retracted convertible top, or with any kind of outside damage. Besides that, it'll enforce me to use more realistic proportions for the outer body.

How it works

Anyways, that's the gist of it. I'll try and keep this thread updated as I progress.

Could be interesting for matchups against RTP or Half Kaiser graphics. Winking with a tongue sticking out Be useful to anyone using a vehicles script, if you do them as charsets.

O_O I think that's my dad's truck!!!
