I solved it. Turns out, that middle top tile in autotiles is responsible for linking them.

00Hello. I need help with setting up autotiles which would connect in the same way as ocean autotiles do. Does anyone knows how to do it? I have two ready that go from default grass > tall grass and from tall grass > leaves.

Well, speaking as a layman (ie an idiot), I would take a plain-jane autotile and just 'BLACK-AND-WHITE' mask it. Like snagging the Grass-to-Sand tile, and making the entire 'green grass' area black, and then superimposing the desired texture within. And obviously masking out the 'sand' area and replacing with the other desired texture. The border area where the two textures should flux a little here and there, but that's what tests are for.
Now if you're trying for an ANIMATED autotile... good luck. That needs a little more work to get things shifting and moving right. I've seen that others manage of course. And Happy Birthday! |
