(April 8 to April 14, 2024)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
General Chat
The sudden Iranian drone attack against Israel blasted this week's News of the World, Iran snubbing U.S. President Biden's call for Iran not to strike and threatening Israel not to strike back after the drone assault. Israel's response was an attack on Iranian Hezbollah proxies in Lebanon, and the world's response was immediate condemnation of Iran. Of the drones, nearly all were shot down by Israel and allied forces. And of the billions that U.S. President Biden released to Iran for Humanitarian use, a senior treasury official said Iran indeed used it to forment violence. The war between Russia and Ukraine continues, Switzerland hosting a peace conference that Russia chose to ignore. And as the U.K. fast-tracks its Dragonfire lazer cannon (FOR REAL) to Ukrainian use, Russia attacks its powergrid in missile strikes. Ukraine, once again on the defensive, are calling for more help. The immigrant crisis worldwide has grown, more than half violent crimes including recently-arrested Isis-based child sex traffickers in Germany, spikes in "Honour-Crimes" rising by nearly 1000 incidents in the U.K., and losses of two dozen from recent Human-Trafficking in Italy had been reported. For the U.S., immigrations is front and center as DHS Mayorkas's impeachment trial will be within days. And while Mayorkas denies claims that U.S. President Biden is importing migrants to grow a Democrat majority, revealed this week was that $300 Million went to sanctuary cities to resettle Migrants while Biden flew in over 300,000 at taxpayer expense. This news is disturbing as new reports of those on Terror Watch lists appear while the FBI director warns of elevated threats to public safety. For U.S. President Biden, time is running out. CNN polls do not favor him, MSNBC's undecided voters have decided against his run, and most TV networks demand he take part in Presidential debates. And for Former President Biden, NPR (National Public Radio) laments they belived Ca-D Adam Schiff's "Russiagate" claims, a NY judge is reconsidering the Trump Gag order imposed by Judge Merchan whose daughter has connections to Schiff, and January 6 defendents released waiting for a Trump-based appeal. Insofar as China, they've been accused of flooding counterfeit postage stamps in the UK, found to have interfered in Canada's last two elections, began hijacking key U.N. agencies, and began combat patrols after seeing joint U.S., Japan, Australian exercises. The death of O.J. Simpson, a BlackLivesMatter fraudster's unbelievable £1 for stealing £70,000 from disadvantaged children, California restaurants fire cashiers for Kiosks over $20 minimum wage hike, last week's Hate Speech law turning the public against the Scottish National Party, attacks on reporters by both the New York Times and the Vatican, Columbia's water rationing, the $24 Billion meant for the homeless lost in California, and roughly 40 more articles hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
China and TikTok hit this week's News of the Cyber World as its revenues soared thanks to its international e-commerce applications, and its planned TikTok Notes becoming a threat to Instragram itself. The impact of Artificial Intelligence hits hard, threatening those who struggled for a Bachelor's degree only to find their entry-level WallStreet jobs automated. But there are those fighting back against AI, new developments to detect audio deepfakes awarded by the U.S. FTC (Federal Trade Commission), and a Cheat Detector discovering over twenty million AI plagairized term papers. Cheap Chinese exports, the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) renewal, Japan's warning about AI, the U.K.'s ban on under-age smartphone use, and more hit this week's cybernews.

Games Development
Development Discussion
If you were curious What's up among fellow RMers, not much at all at first glance. Initially, Remi-chan stated she didn't have much to talk about, but replied how she had reworked a number of in-game menu screens, and showed off a fair number of them. Along with them, she chose to reveal new character design of one of her minor antagonists courtesy of her artist-on-hire, Pjcr.

Upcoming Projects
Early this week, Starmage revealed a new Steam release Trailer for the remastered edition of Stellar Bewitching. But at the end of the week, she announced you can currently find it on both Steam and Itch for free.

Material Development
Scripts Database
This week, kyonides ported KEventual for the RPGMaker VXAce engine, now having versions for all three Ruby-script engines of the RPGMaker line.

A minor correction was needed for the RPGMaker VXAce port of KItemTeachSkill. For its users, the display indicating who can or cannot learn the skill has been made more coherent. Along with that, kyonides took care of an error that allowed the display not to show at all.

Recently created for both RPGMaker VX and VXAce is kyonides's RPG::ME Extended script. An extension of the native Music Event system , it allows one to keep track of the ME currently playing, much like the background music or sound systems.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
The cyber sounds of the 80s resounces for those who found that Eric Matyas is Sharing His Original Music and Sound. His latest composition entitled "Introspective Machine Intelligence" would be very fitting if one wished to revisit the virtual realms of Tron.

Literature Section
Dark things begin to take form within Remi-chan's Writing Snippets as the trial of a Dark Seraphim begins. Will she who seeks great power survive to become the heir to the Demon Prince of Greed.

Well, that's it for this week.
