Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Early this week, Kirito announced there were going to be some System Updates on Saturday, August 17th. And when Saturday rolled around, the Forum Software Update was made, updating MyBB once again with bug fixes and better security. After the update, DerVVulfman restored the custom Spoiler and CSS code. But as Remi-chan relayed, the forum still no longer has a recent posts display.

Occasions

Having lurked in the community for a while, ZerosumGame decided to sign in, While having tried RPGMaker MZ, he returned to RPGMaker which he is is more familiar. Currently working on a game entitled Reverie, Zerosum is admittedly more of an artist than a coder. A greeting by DerVVulfman showed he was a bit familiar with Zerosum's avatar character, and gave a reminder that there are Completed and Upcoming Project boards.

Early this week, the News of the World began with concerns over the handling over the assassination attempt against Donald trump, finding the FBI cremated the body of the assassin and damaged the Congressional investigation, and finding that a Butler County SWAT operator shot Crooks before the Secret Service responded likewise. The Harris/Walz campaign is being scrutinized, with Kamala's 3 Million Homes promise despite the EV station debackle, her claims of Trump endangering the Biden drug price fix when documents showed Biden cancelled Trump's 2020 Insulin price fix and Bernie Sanders clips of Biden threatening social security and medicare, and her Stalin-like food control price fix. But not all is Harris as House Oversight is looking into Tim Walz's connections to china, be it his CCP funded Student Exchange program, or the 2019 speech he gave to a CCP front. Even worse, Walz used his authority as Minnesota Governor to commute the sentence of a Street Gang member who killed an 11 year old girl. And while Venezuela's president questioned ‘Who Rules the United States?’ after the White House Walks back Biden's comments over the approval of the sham election, twenty four state Attorney Generals are backing the requirement in Arizona that only actual U.S. citizens can vote. In the war over Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russia had pulled troops out of Ukraine to counter the Kursk offensive. However, the Ukraine city of Sumy was hit by missile fire by Russia as Ukraine forces continue into Russia’s Kursk border region. Not only are Rite-Aid Pharmacies closing up state-wide in Michigan and Ohio, but major companies like Morton Salt, Caterpillar Tractor, and Boeing began leaving Chicago over safety concerns. Nigeria blasting China's Zhongshan Fucheng for illicit meants to seize Nigerian government property, Dental Implants from China coming from actual corpses, Israel's Netanyahu blaming Hamas over any Cease Fire breakdowns for their refusal to even negotiate, the 7.1 Magnitude earthquake that triggered a Russian volcano, and more hit this week's news.

This week's News of the Cyber World was aflame with a data breach that stole three million records with social security numbers belonging to U.S., U.K and Canadian customers. But the data breach, performed by a hacker group ransoming $3.5 million for the data, may not be as extensive as numerous records are duplicates and appears sensationalized. When the European Union sent a letter to Elon Musk after the Trump/Musk Twitter interview demanding Musk fall in line with their demands for content censorship under claim they were saving democracy, they were blasted by the reknown German Paper, Die Welz, over their hyprocritical stance. Since the, the EU walked back the demands. Just as the Screen Actors Guild now demands protections in the video game industry against the use of AI to steal their jobs, the U.S.'s Federal Trade Commission began cracking down on fake, AI-generated online reviews. Politics once again entered social media, with Meta admitting to another round of censorship, this time Facebook incorrectly rejecting the Reagan movie advertisements. However, Meta also cut the number of political accounts by over half. Auto manufacturers hit this week's news with Waymo's AI driven cars causing traffic jams, turmoil began in South Korea after both Mercedes-Benz and BMW revealed the name of the company that produced the EV batteries which caught fire, and General Motors is now being sued by Texas for sharing unsolicited customer data with insurance companies.l The possibility of Google being broken up after found guilty of violating Anti-Trust laws, Chinese baby products banned in the US for violating anti-suffocating and strangulation concerns, and more hit this week's cybernews.

Things have been active if you were wondering What's up among the forum's RMers, but have you shared what you have been working upon? DerVVulfman relayed that he had done more to his system to extract resources from custom scripts. And kyonides revealed he has another Guild script which reveals the player's reputation. And Remi-Chan's efforts to get the character portraits from her artist paid off, this while she posted three different videos with the last being a revised cut.

Another update was made to the KSteps2Doom as kyonides performed a bug fix related to the number of steps that could be increased by his last patch. And options to hide the steps display was added.

Music and Audio

For those working on cyberpunk games, or games that take place in a world where civilization fell to ruins, the Original Music and Sound FX by Eric matyas may be what you need. His recent creation entitled "Cyber Noir" is a looping piece that would be fitting to give one the feel of a darkened street in a bleak dystopian future, all the while as eyes watch from darkened windows and mutant hordes are ready to pounce. While free, do remember he has higher-quality ogg files for sale.

Literature Section

If you are interested in sneak peeks, the latest of Remi-chan's Writing Snippets is a short cutscene that takes place after a battle won by the game's heroine. However the scene does not center upon her, but upon the mysterious figure that appears whom has a grudge against the villains our heroine had faced.
