Maybe his scripts, like Victor Sant's, relies on an additional plug-in script... like the RMXP SDK or something?
Meanwhile, I'm plugging in scripts into my project rather than writing them. Or at least, until I need to patch something. I've shown a few in the IRC channel how extensive my list of scripts are. I'm down to adding the last dozen or so. Most of them by me. Then I get back to pixelwork and spriting.

Spent 4 hours last night designing a deck-builder UI for a card-minigame.
Looks spiffy right? I just hope that its controls make sense! UI design is hard...

Kinda bored at work. Spent a little time poking around and saw a WIKI about RPGMaker. It mentioned the translater of RPGMaker 2000, Don Miguel and I was thinking... didn't he say he had permission?

Hey, that's his statement. He says it wasn't pirated. And he noted that the owners, ASCII, had no intent to sell their product to western audiences.
The owners weren't Enterbrain back then. Do I believe he owned it? Yeah. The right to translate? Debatable (but no debate is desired.
)
Another article, an interview in fact, mentioned he received a negative responce from Enterbrain about translating RPGMaker 2003... which he honored. However, the interview did express that if it wasn't for his initial translation, there wouldn't have been Gaming Ground Zero, RPG Revolution and the gaming community we have to this day.
I don't expect or desire any debate on this... I just wanted to just make mention since if it wasn't for this guy, we wouldn't be here.

Which is why I still have his original Demo for his translation somewhere in my RPG Maker games folder. =)
I've spend a few hours again to try and find a solution for the strange bug I'm expirencing in my game, again with no result. Now I've run out of ideas on what to do to fix it. =b

so i can't draw a charset to save my life. it's not that i don't try, it's that i can't draw something more than once. can anyone help? i just need a sketch that i can draw from.

Why would you need to draw something more than once? Draw it in pieces, and only redraw the stuff that changes.
I am having trouble figuring out what I should use for my game's battle formulas. Basically trying to make the Defend action actually useful, as well as making DEX and AGI stronger stats.

im trying to make a sea monster that breaches, and crushes someone in the down pose. the monster's poses have to be angled differently so it looks natural. for my sucktastic understanding of animation, try this charset on for size- i only used the battler as reference, since i didn't really plan on making a charset for it to begin with. it appears once, and only briefly. it flies out of a cave's corridor, and circles the room before engaging you.

im having some story issues. if anyone feels like helping please pm me
edit: Pherione to the rescue! the problem i'm having seems to be a lack of custom resources. i'm still trying to make my story fit with the rtp, when what I need to do is make the tilesets and objects conform to my imagination. so thanks Pher, for setting me straight.
