I'd hate that she or any other kind of star would just say they like something... because they're paying him or her to say so in any available media. I hate consumerism! Okay, I was bored and curious, so...



I was looking at the names of my Destiny of End characters, and thought... "Maybe the names have some kind of hidden meanings?"

Mind you, I pulled these names out of my head, so I had no idea if any of them were real words or names  


First... Ikuno.
According to lots of sites, Ikuno was the name of a town in Japan, and is usually a girl's name as well. (Hoo boy, sorry Ikuno!   )
The town of Ikuno was merged into another area in 2005(?), so it no longer exists on its own. Also, apparently "Iku no?" means "Are you going?"
Combined with Doko, it means "Where are you going?" 
Just... throwing that out there, in case you need to ask someone where they're going in Japanese 



Next up... Sinobu!
Wha? Haven't I introduced him yet? Maybe soon... 

Anyway, Sinobu is apparently an alternate spelling of Shinobu, which has cool meanings!
It means Recall, Stealth, as well as Endure/Endurance. Oh, and Patience! Perseverance!  Lots of meanings of Shinobu 
Sinobu also has its own MISUNDERSTOOD meanings, such as Sad/To Think with Sadness. 
As you may have guessed by the similar spelling of Shinobu, it does have a relationship with the word Shinobi. 
Adding Mono makes the name Ninja! 


I think I named him correctly, with his personality...   

Next, Karula!


His name is apparently Latin, and is defined as: A carrel; A small square chamber or cell; sometimes found in cloisters.

A Carrel is "a small enclosure or study in a cloister."
Interesting...


I honestly can't figure out the meaning of Kerusa, since I get lots of weird results   
Possibly related to the word Kerusso, which apparently means Preacher? I don't know

Sheena! 

"Sheena" is an Anglicization of Sine, the Scottish Gaelic form of the name Jane, in turn, the female form of John. 
Of Hebrew origin, it means "God is gracious".

I saw that when I was searching for Pipsqueak as well, it was pretty hilarious    


Anyway, what's on my mind today?

BLUE RIDGE COMMUNICATIONS AND THEIR LIES!


Okay, so like... Blue Ridge is switching to 100% digital, and will be giving all current customers a box, or else the service will no longer be usable. Fair enough.
Here's the kicker... They say that with this switch, they'll be able to increase their internet speeds all across the board.
Keyword... able.
You see, I contacted their people, talking to a few different workers, and even a manager... and they said they have no plans to increase their base speeds, and anyone already paying for a plan is more likely to get another price increase than a speed increase-- which is coming, by the way. They're gonna slap 10 more dollars onto everyone's bills because they feel like it, without increasing their speeds one bit. The "Another" in that sentence means another price increase on top of that 10 dollar increase.

So even though they say they're switching to 100% digital for faster internet speeds... they're not going to increase internet speeds at all. Instead, they're going to charge the customers more, and since many can't switch, the customers will have to deal with it.

Horrible. 

If it turns out that these jerks actually DO increase their speed, I will let you guys know. But I'm not holding my breath. They deserve their 1-star rating.
