I'm just glad I live in Europe.
Oh wait.
GAH!
That won't stop me. I'm off to France for 3 weeks today. I doubt I'll be able to check in often, if at all. Take care everyone!

What's on my mind? Sinkholes.
SINKHOLES! SINKHOLES!!!! SINKHOLES!!!!!!
I'm in freakin' Maryland. Sinkholes are supposed to be in places like Louisiana or Florida! Not in FRONT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!
At least it's a sinkhole under the actual public street and not in my lawn, otherwise it'd cost ME $$$$$

AHA! BLUE RIDGE COMMUNICATIONS!
Some positive and negative here. Let's chat about it for a second.
A while back, I mentioned how their knowledgeable technician came around and fixed a problem I had been having.
Well... the problem returned, though much more minor than it had been. They sent another tech, and they figured out the problem.
AT&T.
Ya see, some of my channels would goof up randomly, and apparently it's because the frequency of AT&T's pulsing of a phone's location is the same as the channels! That caused the channels to mess up, or go out completely, for random amounts of time. It was suggested I change the frequency of the phone to another...
However, AT&T claims they cannot change the frequency. So basically, I'm stuck with random mess-ups of my channels until AT&T admits they indeed CAN change the frequency. They really are capable, according to EVERYONE, but they still say nope.
Also, Blue Ridge openly says in the Internet section of their website that they are working to increase their internet speeds. My speed has already (slightly) increased by .1mbps, according to the site, but they are working to increase it further.
I wish they'd increase UPLOAD speed, though... that's always been their biggest weak point
Ahh well. At least they're working on it.
Who knows? Maybe this'll help them become a 2-star company after the increase!

Recently got back from a stay at the mental hospital. I've got some stories to share in case anyone is curious and has questions (not every day you get a chance to talk to a legitimately certified crazy person).
It feels so surreal at first. Metal hospitals are like an urban myth. You hear about them on the news but no one you know ACTUALLY goes to one.
By the way I got kicked out for being too poor because it costs $1000 per day to be crazy. Let me just repeat that to make sure you know it's not a typo, it costs $1000 per DAY. Welcome to America's shitty healthcare.

Dude... Think you're the only one around? Mwahahahah!!!! Get in LINE! I met manic-depressives the moment I joined the community in 2005. Add bi-polar and a few other diagnoses and that's my week. Not all here...

Well in that case we can all sit around the campfire and swap stories then.

My mum's old company, Demilec, is suing her! They're going to destroy her career for unjustified reasons. I have to find ways to get money for this.

Well, I always knew companies or corporations could be quite evil. Work for a couple of call centers or contact centers and you'll see true evil on wheels disguised as quality assurance, downsizing, etc.
By the way, I installed Warcraft 3 TROC and TFT once again on my PC, but I'm just about to finish all campaign scenarios... It's sad to see that all their efforts went straight to World of Warcraft later, I liked and even enjoyed the offline videogames era a lot.

Well after quickly googling Demilec that's an ugly situation and looks like someone just needs a scapegoat. Sorry to hear about that.
As an anti-social weirdo I still live in the offline era even in this modern online age. Things like my Steam and Playstation accounts are set to offline status so I can be left alone.
Another interesting thing about this age of online games is this whole early access/kickstarter business. In the old days you payed money for a finished product. Now? You pay for tech demos and promises. I'm not even going to bother mentioning runaway DLC practices, in the old days expansions used to mean something.
