UGH!  Had to do a full stop and restart on the latest version of Windows Widgets.

On the plus-side, every widget indeed responds to the .visible= property.  AND I was able to remove that particular dependency upon the List widget.  However, whatever code I did last time BORKED the system that allowed you to properly click and select a record in the list.

I still have need to move graphic rendering code around for the List and related widgets.  And this isolation of graphics is to be useful for my later endeavor into keyboard control of the widgets.  It is at this point where I need to ensure the BORKage doesn't continue.

It is also a very boring and tedious process.
