Sorry. Looks like you are still testing the prior/older version.
Line 148 does not have 'value' in its line of code.
And I just created the same set of lines in a new NPC exactly as you described and received no error.
Meanwhile, another script down... the IMPORTANT one with a gauge. In fact, I performed a bit of negligence repair to the original script.
..........the next script.... is the harder one.

# Branch with control
case @params[2]
when 0 ; $game_variables[i] = value # substitute

$game_variables[i] = 99999999 if $game_variables[i] > 99999999
end
end
The line highlighted in yellow is line 148 in the updated project. It doesn't reach any lines within the Case...End block that has any value variable yet.# * Control Variables for processing group data

SKIN = "CPSynthe" # スキン
#TYPE = 1 # アイコン進行方向 (1:→, 2:↑, 3:↓)
X = 16 # X 座標
Y = 64 # Y 座標
The author of the script 'disabled' a feature because it was an incomplete system. It was set up so moving token icons only flowed one way across the screen. However, the author did intend to allow icons to move vertically, upwards and downwards.#TYPE = 1 # アイコン進行方向 (1:→, 2:↑, 3:↓)
X = 16 # X 座標
Y = 64 # Y 座標
SKIN = "CPSynthe" # Skin
TYPE = 1 # Icon Direction (0:→, 1:←, 2:↑, 3:↓)
X = 16 # X Coordinates
Y = 64 # Y Coordinates
Yeah.... Two verticals but only one horizontal direction? Laaaaame. Now, the reference icons can go in all four directions, which ever direction the game developer wishes. IT WASN'T HARD!!!!TYPE = 1 # Icon Direction (0:→, 1:←, 2:↑, 3:↓)
X = 16 # X Coordinates
Y = 64 # Y Coordinates
..........the next script.... is the harder one.
