You forgot RRR ☹️

![]() As towards RRR, that may be an issue. There are a number of boards that are inaccessible, these protected either from services such as the Internet Archive or from non-member viewership. Audio resource boards were flatly protected, and graphic resources mainly utiized now-defunct imageshack as a host. I may attempt to perform that massive undertaking, but I do have other projects as of now. Honestly though, I wouldn't hold out much hope for the wayback on that one, we might as well try to rescue stuff from VX.net while we're at it. But still, some stuff may be salvageable. That said, poor VVulfy has worked his ass off to get all this done, so I say we let the dude have a well deserved break. I did not realize how utterly absurd a workload backing up RpgmakerCentral's stuff was going to be. I frankly wouldn't blame him if he refused to do anything of this sort ever again. Side note: I miss puppeto4 and I don't think we interacted more than once, just that goofy anime avatar and name stuck with me for some reason. RRR was my first real delve into the RPGmaker community. It's where I first encountered DerVVulfman, Mr Bubble, Puppeto4, Ccoa and a lot of other rpgmaker developers who I respect, including yourself Kaz. Even though from what i know you don't really seem to do rpgmaker development stuff, you still provided a service to the community for at least 7 years, and we can extend that once you became one of the core admins of Central.

Just an aside:
It's several hours late, but a happy new year to you all! May 2025 be awesome and fun and may we all prosper. ![]() ![]()

Then got into the moderator admin stuff loved doing the behind scenes moving the forum around etc apart from the time I lost an entire section , but we don’t talk about that( I changed the permissions and made it so I couldn’t view it by mistake) I did a bit of art stuff and made a mini game in vx ( found that a great way to learn how to do stuff loved eventing and mapping) never really had the time to take it further as I had family and my late husband around so was always busy, As I am already way off topic here I am playing Shining Force at the moment these games are what got me into this in the first place, (03-24-2025, 06:36 PM)Kaz Wrote: The turth thread absolute classic went on forever, and ever.Lmao. You can find him on the rpgmaker.net discord server. I would love to tell you about his presence on rpgmaker.net but... it's dead. Holder is also still around, even on this forum and its discord. She literally had a birthday yesterday or something. Can't speak on starscream, lyric or darkling. I've been playing Elden Ring and have gotten unexpectedly decent at it. By the way DerVV did decide to just archive some of RRR (it's apparently not all that much compared to what RMC was) and he's only got like 15 scripts to go last I heard. It's only going to be resources though, so the turth thread is very likely gone for good. (I'm probably the only one who doesn't mind.)

And sadly, it wasn't much. Merely nine complete projects, and way less than half of the RPGMaker XP and RPGMaker VX scripts were all that could be saved. I know that the forum began delving into RPGMaker VXAce, but their boards were protected and was never duplicated within the Internet Archive. And likewise, no graphics nor any other resource was able to be saved. Still... over one-hundred and seventy threads were salvaged. Comically, this did not actually increase our post count. ![]() Hey, they're spammers. Like they're gonna complain? They're trying to ruin things anyway. So now, we have the RPG RPG Revolution forum within our Archive Board. And with it, over one-hundred and seventy topics within. Enjoy OH.... if you visit our BANNERS menu at the top, you will now find that one of our forum banners now lists RPG RPG Revolution as one of our Archives. ![]()

And with it, over one-hundred and seventy topics within.I love having more scripts and resources for an outdated engine or two that no one who isn't geriatric or out of their mind uses seriously! Sass and crass aside, epic work VVulfy! As usual slaying and really having this forum live up to the 'LMAO WE ACTUALLY HAVE ALL YOUR LOST AND FOUND OCNTENT, COME N' GET IT, DIPSHIT!' Like it's sincerely bizarre to me that this little fringe community is going to be the one that survives the forumpocalypse. No, RPGmakerWebs will not survive. Official endorsement didn't save their discord, it didn't save their Unite engine and it sure as hell won't save their forum. And no, the game jam they are hosting isn't going to be saved either. Though I've made personal intervention to ensure that much. Considering they're still as loose with the use of the banhammer as they were back in their concurrent peak, yea-- I don't see them surviving after WITH. Hell, they might keel over and die before then if the gamejam fails spectacularly enough. As it is they already are seeing less daily activity on most of their boards than this place. But I do not support archiving that shitshow. The stain of that website must be purged from living memory and erased, we must do to them like what the Persians did to the spartans. Incinerate every fiber of their relevance and usher in an age where it could be hardly said they even existed. Only unlike the Persians who had to actually work to erase the Spartans from thw annals of history only to fail anyway, all we have to do is sit back and do... nothing. God, I can't wait to see how hard this empire built on greed and nepotism will be undone by all this nothing we're doing! Also that would be a huge dataload which this forum DOES NOT WANT OR NEED so lets do to rpgmakerwebs forum what it did to its own community, and let it rot. Gotcha Gotcha Games, an empire of dirt, felled to a kingdom of ashes by its own fervor. The dunning kreuger of these idiots pulling out of the deal they had with Degica utterly destroyed any hope they had of bringing it back, because as is no surprise to anyone but their ego-riddled asses, they don't have a fucking clue how to market anything. They are a hodge podge of amateur game-devs posing as something more. I mean for shit's sake, I can do better marketing than them and i would NEVER consider myself a good marketing / pr person. |
