Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Announcements and Updates

This week, we are pleased to announce a successful run to Support Save-Point! With the current subscriptions, the board's hosting fees will be fully funded. However, do not get the wrong opinion as more funding is desired to cover other options such as off-site backups. Still, such costs have not been calculated as the fees for such are in flux.

General Chat

This week, the conflicts in the Middle East took center stage in the News of the World as it was revealed that both China and Yemin, now sanctioned by the U.S. Trump Administration, have been funding and aiding the Houthis and their attacks in the Red Sea. And while the arsonist who torched a U.S. Governor's house in protest against Israel and the Israel/Hamas war, Hamas itself is now facing an unprecedented financial crisis, though it has weathered financial losses in the past. A temporary Easter ceasefire offered by Russia exists, but Ukraine is wary as Russian troops have repeatedly broken past ceasefires. But if it holds, U.S. President Trump hopes it may lead to a final peace deal. And for an afterthought, two of Democrats from the U.S. Congress have spent nearly a quarter million dollars on private jets the past couple of months, spending more money per flight that what most American makes in months, claiming to fight against Oligarchy.

For those curious What's up among our RMers, DerVVulfman took a break from spriting and went back to working on his Windows-like widget system. However, he discovered that his use of the Chdir command was interrupting the content loaded pathways in his project. When kyonides inquired why he used such an option, DerVVulfman relayed the command was used in a number of scripts, citing at least two. It was not long after that DerVVulfman returned and gave a shout that he was able to successfully replace the command and completed two more of the widgets he apparently has planned.

Complete Projects

This week, Starmage invites all back to the Galaxy of Xenres. A mysterious wormhole appears, an unearthly structure emerges, and a band of heroes heads out in their starship to investigate the site in Project: Echelon. A mixture of science fiction and otherworldy entities, Starmage's game developed with RPGMaker MZ will keep you engaged in a character driven story with fast paced combat and galactic exploration.

A new chapter in the chronicles of Vyen appears. Starmage's latest tale, The Final Prayer, has you lead Princess Isolde of Respene as she and her kingdom are threatened with extinction by the ruthless Holy order of Gemeid. A first person 2.5D adventure, it contains custom art and a strategic combat system. It wan't long after its released that some issues were noticed and an upgrade was made available within mere hours of release.

Upcoming Projects

Its been months since we had an update about Memorie. However, KDC showed up to say he's still with us and managed to retrieve both is current work and unexpectely some missing scripts from a previous build he recovered. But while he announced his return, he added that it may be his last post for a while as his Internet Provider is closing down and he will need to hunt for a new service.

RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine

For those wanting the windowskins to change based on who is leading the party, kyonides put together the Actors' Custom Windowskins script for RPGMaker XP. It did have a bug that crashed the system within the main menu, but that was fixed the very same day.

For those who felt the players should be able to increase their skills with preferred weapons, DerVVulfman crafted Adeyemi's Armament Proficiency for RPGMaker XP. Named after one of his former co-workers who passed away recently, the script lets you give levels to collections of weapons or applies penalties if weapons were actively restricted. And before a day had passed, DerVVulfman update the system that tracked experience points for the weapon collections.

RPGMaker VX/VXAce (RGSS2/3) Engines

If you want your game's windowskin to change based on the leader of the party, you may wish to try kyonides' Actors' Custom Windowskins script. Originally, written for RPGMaker VXAce, it took no time to backport it to the VX engine.The scripts needed to be updated to fix a bug that appeared on the first game load. And a later bug fix was needed where custom windowskins attempted to get applied before the party was even formed.

If you have need for modern law enforcement in your game, you can find the sprite for a patrol officer among the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V. This one is wearing a ballistic vest over a white uniform shirt, while wearing a matching uniform hat and pair of handcuffs hanging off his belt.

As Starmage continues her Arts and Training Journey, she decided to take a detour and visit Remi-chan's world of Fantasia. As she did, one of Remi's character asked Starmage if he could pose for a fashion model portrait.

Half a year ago, the last chapter of Looking for a Save Point: The Mission had kyonides finish talks with Wulfo in the forum and re-enter the fantasy dreamworld where Melana was found; their mission to reconnect with Wulfo and rescue Lani who somehow became an evil Overlord. This wek, he and Melana continued their search for Wulfo by way of frog hunting and avoiding Ninja Rabbits, only to encounter an herbalist with a strange story.
