Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
General Chat
In the News of the World, there was plenty of focus upon the Russia invasion of Ukraine as US President Trump, exasperated by Putin's constant refusal to negotiat, gave Russia a 50 day deadline before heavy sanctions would be levied and a promised weapons relief package to Ukraine, followed by Australia supplying 49 M1A1 Abrams Tanks to Zelensky. This came as news that North Korea has been supplying nearly 40% of Russia's armaments. Defiantly, Russia launched new drone attacks against Ukraine, but was itself struck by Ukraine's own volley. When it was stated that there was no Epstein Client list and the furore that followed, US President Trump directed the AG to publically release the Epstein Grand Jury testimony. Even so, Democrats rail against Trump calling it a coverup. But of coverups, newly found documents revealed that the Obama Administration with Comey, McCabe, Clapper, Brennan and Kerry knew there was no Russian interference in 2016 and orchestrated the entire Russia Collusion hoax, calling their actions treasonous. Call it what you will, excessive entry into a country or an unexpected and problematic rise in tourism. In Mexico City, fierce protests rose after hotel landlords rose their rates to get the most out of non-nationals with Mexico's President Sheinbaum blasting the protests as xenophobic. And in Japan, a new government office was created to examine and manage the increasing number of foreigners entering their population and the apparent rise in crime that follows. Even in North Korea, there is a ban on foreign tourists from going to their beaches though it may be the result of a controvercial Russian newspaper story. The US has been dealing with a large immigration problem, its own immgration officers demonized. But this week, an illegal alien in the US was caught and arrested after video confirmed she staged a fake kidnapping to both smear the immigration agency and receive donations. Iran doesn't appear to call it quits, now looking for new weapon systems and looking to China for support. And Iran will be having talks with the E3 (The UK, Germany and France) with Germany reiterating that Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons. A US man hijacking a plane in Belize and getting shot after stabbing three, a doctor in Berlin on trial for the murder of fifteen of his patients, a stabbing in Italy by African migrants, CBS cancelling Steven Colbert's Late show over annual financial losses, a man in Canada hijacking a plane and forcing other flights away from Vancouver, the return of a Roman-era mosaic panel stolen during WWII, Iceland's volcano erupting, Japan and India's new bullet train, Zelensky's peace offer to Putin, and so much more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week's News of the Cyber World breathes a sign of relief for Mark Zuckerberg so he need not testify in a privacy and data protection lawsuit, and Nvidia was granted by the Trump Administration the ability to continue sales to China. And on that front, Apple worked out a $500 million deal in Texas to begin iPhone productions in the US and lessen Chinese dependency. More lawsuits also made news as a lawyer defends Activision now under a lawsuit by the Uvalde Texas families, and the owner of the now-bankrupt clothier CaaStle is under a $300 million fraud lawsuit. Tesla’s top North American sales executive resigning, NASA's "son of Concorde" jet's debut, and more hit CyberNews this week.

There was enough headache a few months ago with the Signal chat app, that Chinese Hackers decided to now exploit it and other applications to hack your phones. But China has a long career in hacking anything and everything as new evidence shows that Salt Typhoon has been hacking the US National Guard for a year. And recently, China had hacked roughly twenty Taiwan companies for semi-conductor research, and Singapore to destabalize the nation's infrastructure.

Development Discussion
It appears that DerVVulfman had some ups and down if you were to ask him What's up as an RMers, Early this week, he was having headaches with recreating Kimonos for the Half Kaiser battler project, and realized he had accidentally deleted one of the strapless dress resources he just finished. Along with that, he found that the Widgets script he had been working on had issues which itself made his work on the editor for his Lip Sync system problematic. However, he spent some time fixing issues with his Widgets system and posted a video showing the progress he had made, and a small hint how to prevent Vgvgf's Aleworks Write Lite system from crashing games when it detects a gamepad. He wasn't alone in doing work or creating vids as Remi-chan produced two new youtubes showcasing revised cutscenes when key characters make their appearance. But be ready for more in our screenshot thread as Remi-chan also received and revealed new portraits from Pjcr and a chunky green sylph by Coyotecraft.

Showing off recent character designs this week is Remi-chan, as the Maps and Screenshots thread now has four new pics from her game with new portraits of those in their Avian home.

Material Development
Tools
There were two updates that kyonides made to the HiddenChest RGSS Player Executable, the first repairing issues with the Game module in relations to the XP Ace game files and the separation of the FileIni Ruby class as its own separate code, and the second repairing issues with RGSS being unable to load game project files and adding support for both TIF and WEBP formats though OS dependent. This while kyonides also added experimental support to load multiple compressed game files. The Executables are again available for both Linux and Windows users.

Scripts Database
RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine
If you think that your heroes should be able to recover a little during combat besides means of healing tonics, then you may wish to try KGuard Rekovery. This script by kyonides lets those using RPGMaker XP to allow their heroes regain a semblence of health and/or magicka when taking a defensive posture.

An update was made to the RPGMaker XP edition of Pharmakology so certain items only give HP or SP bonuses rather than full effects.

Originally, the KLazyWayOut by kyonides allowed players to avoid random mobs by spending their party's gold. But now, the script allows the party to use experience points to dodge those battles.

RPGMaker VX/VXAce (RGSS2/3) Engines
The Character's Dash Animation received a minor update to its code, working to ensure a valid boolean (or true/false) return from its code. At the same time, the Map Dash addon he published earlier can now be found in the main post.

Resources Database
2D Resources
If you have a love of seafood, or wish to have something for a pet store, then you may wish to peruse the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V to find some small aquariums. Within, you can find some water tanks, empty or otherwise. Indeed, you can find a nice lobster in a tank for those wanting to make a surf and turf restaurant.

Creativity Section
Art and Design
For those engaged with their ownArts and Training Journey, they would not find any better company than Starmage. This week she went sight-seeing and gazed upon the Skies of Galaraya, and took upon Randolph from Militibus Elementis as her newest model. With his well-defined arms extending out from his tunic, you can see how well he brandishes the sable bladed scythe cuts through the pitch black sky.

The ever expanding Art deck by Demos "Rise Evil" Kerrigan now has another beachside illustration. A pencilwork piece based once more on characters created by Remi-chan, we are engaged with two lovely ladies sitting upon the sands arguing about beachwear one's typical lack thereof, while younger folk in the distance pay them no mind.

If you venture into the halls of art and look upon the gallery for Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread things, you would find her depiction of Mother Nature. A sylvan winged goddess of life, bright and cheery even at night. It took seven hours to craft this work, a speed draw available for viewing.

Literature
Is this a scene of things to come? Is this a fight that the Chaotic Cloud Nymph has before she teams up with her nieces, or the prologue to a battle for the fate of everything? WIthin Remi-chan's Writing Snippets~, Fyori encounters evil incarnate as she puts everything on the line for her best friend.

Filmography
Just as she posted earlier in our What's up RMers topic, Remi-chan's Cinematic Theatre now comes with two new indroduction cutscenes. The first video is the revised intoduction to the battle with Lyza, though the does get an earful from an entity unwilling to make his full presence known. And the second video is the thoroughly reimagined appearance of terror herself.

Well, that's it for this week.

I need to correct him here. The truth is that the script affects both items & skills, just like it happens in VX ACE.
The new update features the possibility of not applying the benefits to both stats, namely HP & SP, but just to one of them. It's still possible to apply it to both stats if that's what the game dev needs in his or her game project.
