Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

General Chat
In this week's News of the World, potential billions in fraud hit Minnesota and Governor Tim Walz. Service workers have called him out as fully responsible for at least $1 Billion in fraud as the US House of Representatives has called for a full investigation. Even Representative Ilhan Omar and other prominent democrats are under fire as photographs have surfaced of her and others with a Somalian fraudster under deporation orders since 2004 recently arrested by ICE. The destruction of boats carrying narcotics has been in the news for some time. But this time a coast guard helicoptor captured one of the narc-boats and seized 20,000 pounds of cocaine. And of the first ship downed under missile strike, the Admiral in charge of the operation admitted that the orders for the controversial second strike was never ordered by the White Nouse nor Secreatary Hegseth. The Russian invasion of Ukraine continue as Putin refuses to accept the latest peace deal, refusing to make any concessions as it launches more attacks against Kiev. As a New York property management was fined over $70 million for violating US Sanctions for its dealing with Russia and a prominent oligarch, more support for Ukraine builds in the US as over two-thirds of Americans want the US to continue sending weapons to Ukraine. With the rising hostilities, NATO nations began sending out wasships to hunt down Russian submarines around the extensive pipelines and critical internet cables snaking along the seabed. NATO scrambled fighters during the recent overnight missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Simultaneously, the US sent out a ‘Nuke Sniffer’ plane to the Pacific after Putin announced the revival of their Nuclear Testing program. And due to the damage caused by Moscow, the protective shield at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is expected to soon fail. The the commander of Hamas’ East Rafah Battalion, his deputy, a company commander and the son of senior Hamas official were killed trying to escape a Gaza tunnel, this as Hamas has claimed that its communication systems have broken down and that the gunmen in the underground are not aware of any cease fire. Hamas has slow-walked the return of the deceased hostages and two bodies recently delivered by Hamas were not from among those taken October 7th, 2023. However, Hamas claimes it is ready for the next phase of the ceasefire and says the group ready to discuss putting away its weapons instead of laying them down and turning them in. The Philippine Navy halting Chinese fishermen illegally using cyanide in fishing, seven more Ukranian children abducted by Russia re-united with their families, an alleged Sinaloa cartel leader operating world’s largest fentanyl ring killed by Mexican military, National Guard member Andrew Wolfe slowly healing after horrific Thanksgiving shooting, an ex-British soldier arrested for allegedly helping Russia assassinate Ukrainian politicians, Netanyahu submits a request to Israeli president for a pardon on behalf of national stability, a bombshell reports show Josef Mengele, the 'Angel of Death' from Auschwitz was known to authorities Argentina for years, a British teen hiking around Dracula’s Castle having vanished, the US DHS firing back at member of Congress falsely claiming she was pepper sprayed during an ICE raid, and more hit this week's news

Tech Talk
Censorship was a clear topic within the News of the Cyber World. For while the United States protects freedom of speech, the European Union now seeks to fine Elon Musk and X $140 million demanding he enforce their censorship laws. However, X is not the only US front being looked upon by the EU. Unsurprisingly, the current German Chancellor has already filed thousands of criminal complaints against citizens over mere insults, a recent law that calls any a potential “extremist” politically motivated crime. It wasn't even three weeks before Cloudflare suffered another outage. Though one shortlived, their company shares dropped 4.5%. Currently, Cloudflare is monitoring the situation. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's meeting with US President Trump over chip exports, Netflix beating out Skydance over the purchase of Warner Bros Discovery, a stalker encouraged by ChatGPT in his activities also hit this week's cybernews.

Development Discussion
If you were curious What's up among our RMers, Remi-chan finished redesigning the battle with the maidens of unholy virtue, and then crafted an entirely new quest chain for one of the playable heroines. Among her graphc artists, Xiie (or Save-Point's Rune) was able to deliver three new character sprites. However, her character portrait artist may have lost all his work following the disastrous Super-Typhoon Uwan. However, issues that Pjcr had in the past with relaying the portraits to Remi-chan may soon vanish as he will be relocating to Manila.

Within the Maps and screenshots thread, Remi-chan puts to use the last character portraits she received from her artist. And these were followed up with shots new and updated involving her long-running antagonist, the target of vengeful discussion and weakened subject under fire.

Tools
For those who kave the know how, kyonides placed within the HiddenChest RGSS Player Executable mechaincs so one can record their savegames and screenshot captures within their game's custom game directory rather than within the root folder itself. There were additional changes made, noticing issues that disabled the INI parser that had to be repaired. But as a reminder for those that wish to take advantage of the new custom folder feature, changes still need to be made to related save folder scripts within your project.

RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine
A recently discovered error that prevented the creation of a duplicate event's ID had to be taken care of within the RPGMaker XP edition of KEventual. But with that, kyonides added a new option to the Event Delete option, so duplicates can be removed permamently even if you return to the map some time later.

RPGMaker VX/VXAce (RGSS2/3) Engines
A recently discovered error that prevented the creation of a duplicate event's ID had to be taken care of within the RPGMaker VX and VXAce editions of KEventual. But with that, kyonides added a new option to the Event Delete option, so duplicates can be removed permamently even if you return to the map some time later.

The zombie apocalypse upon law enforcement continues as you may find another undead policeman among the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V. Scarlet stains contrast sharply against the torn black uniform while eyes crimson seek out the nearest victim. And this time the skin is no longer sickening green, but the bloodless blue pallor of lividity.

Music and Audio
if you are feeling down, do know that you are not alone and that there alre always support. And within the halls of DoubleX's Music Room, a melody that begins with a duet between two double basses entitled "Heartfelt Condolenses" typifies this. Beginning low, with strings bowed and plucked represending ones depondency, other instruments join its chorus. But at the bridge, the sound of a flute accompanied by cheery woodblocks and chimes sprinkle as heartfelt wishes make their appearance. But sometimes, you may find that a friend had endured a tragedy, and you have a massive need to give assistance. With his fifty-fourth composition entitled "Starting Again", DoubleX puts together a violin with rapid piano play that depicts the torment of passing time. But after a time, the somber strums of the violins vanish and lighter instruments of wood and string come to give comfort.

Art and Design
For some, it is the dawn of Winter. But once you pass through the gallery doors into Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing, you may find a touch of Spring. Standing atop a green covered hillside in a short hemmed kimono of pale iris is a new entry within Remi-chan's cast of characters, a seven-tailed kitsune designed by Demos "Rise Evil" Kerrigan that took ten hours to illustrate and depict in all her glory. For those who wish to see how Hanako came into being, a fifteen-minute speed draw is available.

Well, that's it for this week.

"The reason some portraits don't look true to life is that some people make no effort to resemble their pictures." - Salvador Dali (1904–1989)
