Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

This week was a total surprise to find the operation in Iran to be the headline in this week's News of the World, an operation to eliminate the leadership of the world's largest state sponsor of terror in the world that has been in power for almost half a century. With repeated calls for talks to end their nuclear program ignored and confirmation that Iran was readying missils to launch at US bases in the area spurred the joint operation between Israel and the US to attack. And within the first day, Ayatollah Ali Khomenei and fourty top commanders had been killed. Those nations that had refused to assist the US in operations to reign in Iran have now reconsidered as Iran launched attacks on many gulf states. Even European nattions that were originally opposed have changed their minds. And of Iranians worldwide, there is cheering in the streets over the destruction of the tyrannical government, cheering for the US and Israel for their actions. Prior to this, President Donald Trump held the 2026 State of the Union address touting accomplishments such as lower drug prices while awarding the highest honors to an attending WWII veteran, the survivor of the brutal November assassination attempt in DC, and a pilot during the raid to capture Maduro. But when Trump called upon those present to affirm their commitment to the citizens rathert to illegal aliens, to stand in honor for the slain Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, for the reunion of Maduro's rival and political prisoner Enrique Márquez, and for the Angel Moms, not a Democrat stood with the exception of Pennsylvania's John Fetterman. As the Russian assault on Ukraine continues, the Kremlin threatened retaliation if NATO member Estonia is ever armed indicating they want a weakened response. Ukraine's own parliament has acknowledged that any referendum to give up territory would fail while actively delivering massive casualties to Russia's forces. President Zelenskii asked US President Trump to visit Ukraine so he could see for himself what Russia's President Putin had wroght while essentially attempting to bring about World War III. If that was ever in question, Russian bombers and spy planes entering the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone as well as Chinese patrols across the Arctic should make the answer self evident. The legacy of Jeffrey Epstein continues to reach out, now having Microsoft Founder Bill Gates apologizing for his connections to the late convicted sex offender. However, he denied any involvement with Epstein's activities. This is a stark contrast to Lord Peter Mandelson, UK's former ambassador to the US who maintained ties with Epstein after his 2008 conviction and has now been arrested for sharing market‑sensitive government information in 2009. The Cuban Coast Guard attack on a US-registered speedboat stolen by Cuban Nationals, the survivors and beneficiaries from the Crans-Montana Ski Resort fire and the bar owners facing manslaughter charges, US Senator Cruz's prediction of Cuba's collapse before the end of the year, Ju Ae, the 13 year old daughter of Kim Johg Un, appointed as North Korea's Missile General, and more hit this week's world news.

If you were curious about What's up with some RMers, Remi-chan has been dilligently replacing her prior battles with new mechanics, and at least ten have been finished. True that there are still more to remaster, but she took some time to record a pair of battles in action. Her characterset artist, Xiie (or Rune within our forum) had finished two more sprites. However, her portrait artist is still incommunicado.

As she had received new spritework from one of her artists, Remi-chan entered the Maps and screenshots thread to showcase the character work in the field. She first began with a very approachable nymph of fire before turning her attention to a young maiden in what was once a desolate landscape. And after that, she turned her attention to screenshots of her battlesystems.

Not one to ignore any game development contest, Starmage once more returned to the world she made a decade ago when she created "Blue Skies". And for the "New Start" event in honor of RPGMaker.Net's return after a year's long absense, she fashioned Her Heart, Anew whereby you follow the exploits of a young woman fleeing a forced marriage into an adventure of self discovery and legendary danger. Made with RPGMaker MZ, it features a turn based system that can be influenced by relationships formed within the game.

While it is not a new script, DerVVulfman was asked to rechristian his latest into Cammy's Anti-Lag. This request from the person whom the script was named after, partially because it is her nickname and partially because she felt it had a better ring to it.

A month and a half ago, the forum was blessed with the character spritework of a groom. But this week, we can all sing "Here comes the Bride" as a maiden clad in white walks within the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V. But while only one maiden appears, you have the opportunity to decide if she may wear a tiara of silver or one of gold and silver as well.

Music and Audio

Music is oft used to set the mood for many. So if content to reflect inner turmoil is sought, the auditorium known as DoubleX's Music Room is surely where it may be met. The seventieth composition entitled "Widespread Misfortune" was meant to describe society in agony with only a sparce frew able to cope but ignoring the masses in pain. However, the light tinkling of piano keys and a choir that begins in octaves low which almost unerringly crest and rise belies that with an atmosphere of fortitude. "Permanent Shame" is another of DoubleX's work, one where shame exists for merely being. But once again, the work begins with low octaves that again crest and rise. This quick tickling of ivories for this melody is replaced, but only for a short time with the unexpected performance with a koto and chimes before returning after a few bars. And even as brasswork begins low, the melody continues to lift. His piece, "Sorry For Existing" dealt with how children may sadly believe they have been a burden to their own parents and that it would have been best not to be. To reflect this, the light and playful innocence reflected by light xylophones is overshaddowed by a dark cloud of a choir followed not long after by strings and a bridge with the haunting sounds of a pipe organ. As time is a precious commodity, many know it as something of which you never have enough. And with "Excessive Emergencies", DoubleX relayed how one may always attempt to ready themselves for future events while always sidelined or waylaid by actions unforseen or unavoidable. Above the haunting strings are the quickened piano scales reflecting both work desired and the all-too-rapid passing of time, only to be overshadowed by deep brass where fate interrupts and says to do otherwise.

Art and Design

Within the hallowed halls of Save-Point's museum, death awaits within a darkened bloodstained cavern illuminated by the arcane light of a holding circle of amethyst. Once more a member of the Blood Maidens have appeared within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing!, Kloe the Bloodstar has arisen. Clad in nothing more than a form-clinging veil of silk around her frame, she grins hungrily at anything and everything. Remi-chan is a bit more critical of this work than her others, not feeling she captured her subject as well as she would have liked. And it is one of the few rendeds produced that doesn't include a video documentary.
