RMRK is closing
#1
Dear friends,

Another website has joined RPGMakerWebs with closure, and that site is:

They are paid up until the end of the year. However, after that, they will be gone.

Make no mistake, archiving has already begun. And surprisingly it hasn't near as many script or plugin resources as RPGMaker Webs or others.   In fact, I can safely state that I have already downloaded viable threads for RPGMaker XP, VXAce and RPGMaker MV scripts.

... Why oh why is there more RPGMaker VX scripts?   Well... that's next after my venture into more WEBS archiving.  And that followed by its resources and (expectingly) Completed Projects forums.

Thanks for all the archiving efforts, DerVVulfman! Really appreciate it. I was able to get the sithjester sprites because of the Save Point archive.

Dear friends.

I have not been slacking.

Taking breaks... resting my eyes after hours of staring at screens.... but not slacking.

I have already downloaded the BULK of RMRK's viable content. That is to say, I have snarfed all viable scripts and event systems, engine specific and general resources... and as of now HALF of all viable Complete projects.

RMRK had a massive number of RPGMaker VX scripts compared to any other content. However, it doesn't have nearly as many complete games as either RPGMakerWebs or the prior endeavor of RPGMaker Central. Likely, this is because no one posted a complete game for almost a decade.

It still takes some time, I having to verify links and see if the content still exists. But saving the content of RMRK is coming along.

A grand push... The completed games from RMRK's "Projects" board has had all the 1st pages of their threads downloaded for recreation.

Now I say the completed games as 'in-the-works' games are not complete and many of those members are not (or are not yet) here. And the contents of abandoned games and the like are not being saved because of the lack of salvagable material.

Meanwhile some games from RMRK will not be copied over due to actual content duplication. Many a games that were posted within RMRK were also posted in RPGMaker Central. And understandably, there is no need for multiple threads of "DUDE! WHERE'S MY SPEEDER?" the Star Wars parody game. I swear, that was inventive.

When will there be an RMRK board with content in our forum? Technically, after I upload RMWebs content. How long that will take? I haven't a clue. And I told the "REFUGEES" that the zip file uploads in my WEBS ARCHIVING endeavor wont be removed until September.

The recreation of the RPG Maker Resource Kit.... RMRK.... has begun this week.

You do not have access to see it as yet, but all of the salvagable scripts and event systems made for RPGMaker MV have been reconstituted. And while slow-going, approximately 45% of the RPGMaker VXAce scripts have now been restored.

Sadly, a large number of demos are indeed gone, but many of the scripts remain.

And on a lighter note, some of the content saved from RMRK is not being restored in the archive, but are instead being used to restore scripts that were posted in OUR forum where the links had previously died! Well over a dozen lost scripts in our graveyard have RISEN!!!!
