Little Tyke

Welcome!
This is yet another remake of my first Tyke template, makes it the 4th i believe.
Tyke, tyke 1, tyke zero and now Little added to the title.

But don't really consider this a remake (lack of a better word there), while this was sprited from the ground up again it is more of a vast improvement on the look of the first ever made.
I hope the person in charge wont mind that i post these template sheets here, i will also add 'em to the Resource area and will remove them from here after a time.

Little Tyke RTP plan-

Here's a small starter list for this rtp i plan to make.
-2 of each type for the classes, male and female.
-Npc characters, two of each for that type, two diff looking kings for example.

Classes-
Warrior (Heavy armor, swords/maces)

Fighter (Light/medium armor, swords/short swords)

Content Hidden

Magician (Cloth/light armor, staffs/knives)

Dark mage (Light armor, magical swords)

Thief (Cloth/light armor, knives/throwing knives)

Brute (No armor, clubs/maces/bare hands)

Lancer (Mid armor, spears)

I have a crazy idea for this forum, but i'll wait to see if this LT temp sticks first.
Btw i'm dropping my game and making this my main project now.

Here's a little sample of what may be a diagonal walking frame, still needs some tweaking.. needs more of a diagonal stance me thinks..

Hey i'm glad you dig it Olivia, i think i only need to lighten the red-ish pixels on the top side of the head/hair a little.

Kneeling pose added to pose sheet.
If anyone has problems placing these send me a pm and i'll help you out.

Some tips for MSpaint-
Set the background color to transparent by right clicking it, selecting the bottom box then paste your sprites, the kneeling sprite should be pasted no lower than the bottom of the feet on the temp sheet.

Flip 'em and mix 'em for some animation .
Edit: Day dreamer pose added to sheet (my new name for that sitting pose, looking up).

Just changed a couple of pixels since the last look (which i've now deleted of the post above).

E-A new pose (kneeling samurai) with one variation added, plan to make a side frame for some of these poses.
Almost forgot, i made the arms longer for the dozing off/meditating pose, in the future just re-save this over your older sheet, i will let you know when i've change anything though.

E- Some separate expressions (copy,paste the heads) added.
The head for this template is small but you can still pull off some expressions, i will try to add a few more soon.
E- Old person head added (you'll know when you see it), this may help you envision your older characters better as well.
E- Head for a rabbit race has been added, i left the color as is, up to you to recolor.

Spreading out a bit now, an early look at an inner tile for the LT template.
The barrels are pretty much complete, though i may touch a color or two up later on, the rest is still at a base color.

Here's a better look to the floor, also added ol Lukan to the shot.
Looking at this character against the background i think i may need to add a taaad more contrast or brightness to the clothing, want them to stand out from it a little.

I want to start working on Lukan for my first character so i've improved his clothing from the first look (check top post).
This will be my mascot character for the template you might say.

Woo! New look at that inner room, Obese is complete, need to tweak it up though.
I will work on my own ceiling tile later on.

Just a very small update, i need to bump this for those that saved the template.

Obese color 2 added, slightly changed a shade for the darker skin color templates (please replace), and now i have the same background color for all temps.
I changed the skin color using TheGimp and then worked on it further in GraphicsGale, but before i forgot to change it back for the second skin shades.

Thanks appreciate the comment.
I just hope someone will help me with the pixel movement request sooner or later, no hurry on that one, still have a lot to do with the template.

Soon i will begin working on the frontal frame for the entire RTP list, it's a good way to quickly plan out the look for them all.

Male fighter (frontal frame) has been added to top of post, let me know if you see a prob with it.
Colors may be edited for some of these rtp character frames i will be adding.

I'm going to be increasing the size of the LT template a bit guys, the look will pretty much remain the same but it will fit better on these 32x32 size tiles.
