Lately, I've been so busy that I could not arrive at home before 10 pm! By the way, it's been sunny... Could it be that Kilawea is bored of all Hawaiians already?

As a curious sidenote I wanna add that a Costa Rican bank was scammed by some people for 9.000.000.000 colones, almost 5.6 million dollars...

Since I upgraded my Kubuntu distro from 16.04 to 18.04 I had to update or reinstall several applications like GIMP, Kolourpaint, several C and make related packages, libpango, libcairo, dpkg-dev, a few object oriented programming languages, sound related packages, Ruby headers, and last but not least zsnes! ;shocked: I was worried I didn't care to download vlc packages, but it was already included in Kubuntu! Even Ruby's version was 2.5 from the very beginning! Yeah, I also installed a few Solitaire like games as well. I just needed to fetch around 200 MB! Yes, I have reinstalled rubygems like Rails and Gosu already.

I keep a folder handy called 'Setup Discs'... a name holdover for when I burned all my backup CDSs (now on duplicate external HDDs). So yeah, I have backups of some of those.

What's on my mind? FREAKIN RELIEF!!!!!!!!!

Imagine if you will, that you are a store manager who has keys to the store. These keys used to open the store, and close it. And imagine if there is a single key to the store's safe which holds all the store's cash and jewelry, a key that NEVAH leaves the store itself, but is kept within another safe for security reasons.

Now imagine... LOSING THE KEY TO THE SAFE!!!!! OVER A DECADE SPENT ON THE JOB, DEALING WITH SECURITY ISSUES, REPAIRS, AND SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND NOW THE KEY TO A SAFE COSTING $10,000 IS GONE!!!!

It was eventually FOUND by a colleage (2 hours after closing) hooked on a malevolent power tool 6 feet up in the air.

Yeah, I had a baaaaaad day.

Man. I should invest for a bedroom chair at some point. Sitting on the floor and leaning on the wall is kind of taking on both my back and the back of my neck a bit.
