hey, im having an odd issue with this in my game. The object of the script works, i can enhance, upgrade, add slots, all that. However when i save my game then reload that saved game, all the armors and weapons that can be enhanced, whether they are enhanced or not, disappear completely. Why does it do that?

i do use a personal save script that you just plug and play.

Placement may be key. If your personal save script is placed 'below' this script, it may overwrite features written by this one. See if you have your personal save script placed below 'Equipment Upgrade', and if that is the case, move your save script above this one.

okay yeah, it was the personal save. However if it was below the custom upgrade stuff, only gear that was enhanced disappeared, when i put it above the custom upgrade stuff, ALL gear disappeared.

However when i removed the personal save thing all together, it worked fine in every way. As for a demo, i haven't really gotten into even trying to make a demo downloadable across the net so id need time to figure that out lol

though i didnt much like the personal save thing anyway. It made you type in like a password thing for new game or to continue and save files loaded depending on the password. Like if you typed in "Peanut" to get into a new game and saved it, then you'd have to type in "Peanut" when clicking continue in order to see it.

id much rather have this epic equipment customizing than that save thing XP

As a general game design rule, I would avoid having hundreds of little scripts for unnecessary features. Focus on story and gameplay. Ihmo. ;)

i do try for good story, its the good gameplay i might thrive much for in these scripts lol

oh and, i found an issue, with something different all together. Specifically, with DVV's multi slot with this custom upgrade thing. When i set a weapon to be a 2H, just a 2H, nothing else, it is treated as a 2H weapon and disarms the shield as it should. However, when i take 2H weapon and click the "Enhanced Weapon" element to make it so i can upgrade it, it no longer is considered a 2H weapon. I can click the "3 Slots" element, the default elements, anything but the "Enhanced Weapon" and it'll still work, it is just "Enhanced Weapon". I'm trying it right now in a freshly made project just to try and figure it out and the only scripts it has added are those two scripts and the SDK script. Do either of you get that problem? Do you know how to fix it?

Also, without the custom upgrade scripts, when i set an actor to dual wield, they can still equip a shield if they want. However when merely just past the custom upgrading scripts in, dual wielders can no longer put a shield on in the second slot thingy. I don't care as much for this one but i figured id put it here cause it seems like you two have at least done some work together and from the looks of the scripts it looks like you two tried to make these scripts work together or something lol

When I used item slot plus to an equipment that had max slots, it still consumed item slot plus, how to fix it ?

Sorry for the necropost, but I enjoy your system a lot. And I have come across a problem and don't know what to do....

Ok, let's say I have 2 Bronze armors, and 1 Poison DEF enhancement (protects against poisons). I call the script, put the Poison DEF enhancement in 1 of the armors, and then leave the Enhancing screen. Then I equip both of the armors on 2 different characters and go fight a giant nasty venom-spitting snake monster. Both of the armors all of a sudden protect against poison.

While using Stormtronics CMS I noticed that when I had two Bronze Armors and 1 with the Poison DEF crystal in it, both of the armors had a poison state defense icon. Not good. When I took out the Poison DEF crystal, I went to the equip screen and both armors still had the poison state defense icon, and neither had the crystal 'installed.' So I copied the game over and deleted all scripts except yours. Blargh, there's that ugly equip screen, but it now shows how many slots the armor/weapon has in the description (doesn't do that in Stormtronics, but I can live without), and, after placing the Poison DEF crystal in one of the armors, the armor with the crystal showed the crystal in the slot, the other did not. Awesome! So I equipped both armors on 2 different characters and went off to fight that snake monster again. Both were still protected against poison. I went like 40 rounds against the snake monster, each round it spat poison, each round the poison only affected the 2 characters not wearing the Bronze Armor.

It seems it is not creating a new version of the Bronze armor with the Poison DEF like it's supposed to, and figures both armors have the new state defense.
