72 trillion gallons of water and 360 billion gallons of chemicals needed to run our current gas wells.
And there are people expecting to watch or learn about wars to be started by the lack of water in other regions of this shrinking planet... 1 - Why randomly bring in a political conversation to this thread? We've had enough arguments to last us a lifetime, so unless you're trying to start an argument... WHY?
2 - Look at the name of the site. GEE, I WONDER WHERE THEY STAND ON THE ISSUE?
3 - I saw you put up an anti-Trump thing too, and we've ignored it, but... come on. Stahp. Pls.
Anyway, Windows 10 seems to work decently... when it's not updating like crazy! (Which it does. A LOT. AUTOMATICALLY.)
At least bugs are being squashed as soon as they pop up with immediate updates. You'd think with all of the beta testing they'd done, they would've let you access the toolbar settings directly, instead of having to do a run-around from the desktop's personalization settings...
Oh well, guess that's what you get with "Free" 1.0 version software
Anyone else using Windows 10? Thoughts?

Caring for the environment is not politics. At least, it shouldn't be.
And just because something comes from a site that may be biased doesn't mean you can use that to automatically dismiss it without consideration, that's disingenuous.

I'm not sure whether or not it's biased or or just a target of corporations involved in polluting water sources and the atmosphere. The undeniable fact is these processes take place whether we realized it or accept it or not.

Lani, in the shoutbox Wrote:And all of this global warming nonsensical talk is annoying too, since almost every single number that has come out has been fudged or exaggerated to the point of it being scientists trying to redeem themselves by lying. Believe what you want, but this is exactly why you don't need to bring these freaking issues to the site. No, just no. You know, it is really insulting to the millions of scientists who dedicate their lives to their research when you express your misinformed and ignorant opinion. Any scientist worth their salt doesn't lie or let their religious or political bias affect their research. Do them a favour and do proper research.

Wanna make things right? Delete the whole conversation on this and keep the crap off the site. Thanks. You want to know what the most surprising thing is? Most people (who also happen to be environmentalists) actually do this thing called "RESEARCH" rather than just listening to what the news people or news sites say!

Environmentalism is not a political issue like gun control or legalizing mirijuana are and saying "I'm concerned about the amount of water wasted in order to get natural resources" is as political as saying "I'm concerned about the decreasing amount of water in California" or "I'm concerned about the increasing number of tropical storms affecting my country".

Well, if I say I would like that more people didn't have to depend too much on natural gas for any reason without fingerpointing anybody, how could it be a political issue?

At no point within his initial statement did kyonides begin a political discussion. It was clearly a statement based upon an environmentalists thoughts about the impact of fracking and the amount of water use. And the post, while it may bring up discussion, did not appear to be argumentative. If one wishes to lodge a complaint about the content of a post, the administration recommends the use of the Report button and not take matters into their own hands. However, it is still the decision of the staff on how to act upon the report. Backseat moderating is still frowned upon.
If it pleases and would like to continue with more material, kyonides is welcomed to create a new thread which may sport the 'Serious Dicussion' banner. This in no way suggests the material is inappropriate as it was 'on his mind'.
On my mind?
Um, we coulda sure used that water for the recent drought and sudden batch of wildfires too.
Drones... Those pesky things should be banned. You can attach all sorts of nasties to them, Some are strafing planes on runways, and have been impeding brave men fighting these recent wildfires.
Ugh... a co-worker is getting herself in more and more hot water by (1) cheating customers and (2) failing to perform required duties.
I'm bug-eyed. The boss came over with 100+ swords for sale, and guess who has to identify each one and price em? Been staring at google images for days to get the exact blade. Anyone want Conner McLeod's claymore or Ramirez's Masamune ?

well, as a Oklahoma City native... we're seeing first hand what's happening due to placing that water into the wells. Now, some would say the slew of earthquakes we're having aren't related, but currently our injection well issues are at the point now we're shutting down wells that happen to be near the epicenter of these sites...
We have a good 4 to 5 magnitude tremor weekly, which is normal for say California, not so much for Oklahoma.
Research is good, but Experience... is the greatest teacher.

(I kid, of course)
So I just realized I didn't have my Facebook page or Youtube channel in my signature, so I decided to update it. I'll be on both of those a LOT more than I will be on this site, in case anyone wanted to contact me
Also, let's get the elephant out of the room:
Windows 10 DOES seem to be working better now that a bunch of updates have happened. I haven't been accidentally snatching the screen to different places and getting two desktops at one time, and I haven't had any problems uninstalling programs I don't need like I was having before with Windows 10. Only problem I have with it is the "Transparency" option for the taskbar doesn't make it very transparent. In fact, it just makes the colors a little lighter and that's it.
Okay, okay, I know what you're thinking...
"LANI, STOP BEATING AROUND THE BUSH!"
Alright, well you asked for it!
UNFILTERED LANI TIME!
I find it quite unfortunate that there were glitches in older versions of some of the games I have on the SNES and N64. I obtained a rom version of my game, and saw versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. on a lot of them, so I looked at all of the bugfixes... and realized some of the games I own are actually version 1.0!
I have no idea on the legality of using a separate "Version", so if anybody knows the laws on this, I would love to hear it.
Thanks

(I kid, of course) Pity. But, it's $39 actually. And so is Connor's Claymore. But shipping would be a pain. Wanna drop by and pick em up instead, and save some coin??
