Finally saw The Mummy with Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella. Not giving any spoilers, but It looks like Unversal Studios threw in all the 'extra' stuff as if they're planning a line-up of their monsters brought together in one. Avengers Assemble!

Technically, I haven't seen any remake of the 'Creature from the Black Lagoon', but a buttload of Frankies, Dracs, werewolves and mummies.

I don't remember there's been any other country facing three quakes in less than 2 weeks (8.2, 6.8 and 7.1 respectively). As far as I do remember Japan only faced two in a row...

Later that day I learned about another quake in Japan, its magnitude was around 6.1 degrees...

I hate doing repairs at home, I always end up moving large zinc tiles to the backyard, last time they were 10, but this time there were another 5 tiles to be moved...

Even if terracota tiles and their immitations do exist here, the most common material for tiles are the zinc ones, they are like 6 or 6'4'' large and heavier than you would expect them to be.

I've got a rant!

Ok, so because I know a few people don't like rendered graphics in these RPG Maker games... I set out because I know there's no way I'm crafting a full sprite template myself that's handdrawn, to find a sprite template that works for what I can work with, creating outfits, hairstyles, things I can draw on existing bodies... I digress... Here's my rant.... wait for it....

What's with all the bulbous heads?!

How come these sprites have heads that are like 4 times bigger, anatomically speaking than the rest of their body! I can understand hands... or feet, where you can't have a small sprite and expect to show each finger correctly, but HEADS?? Every sprite template I've come across, from the HKCP, to the MACK, to the RO-style all have these ginormous MELON heads that make me cry for their mamas who had to birth that!

Why is it so imperative to have such a big head?

Quite possibly it's because they all follow a fairly anime-ish style.
Requires big eyes and such.
Makes sense if you want to draw facial expressions and such on the sprites, but yeah, most of 'em do look a bit weird.

okay, I get that to a small effect, but... if you look at most Manga anime, their heads aren't nearly as big as they are portrayed in RPG Maker... Even with the big Harajuku style hair styles or whatnot, heads are...

Okay, they MIGHT be a tiny bit bigger if we're trying for 2/3 perspective, the heads would need to look bigger beacuse it is at the top or (nearest) to the screen if we were looking down at the character, but wow, NOT that BIG... lol

I don't know what's worse. Having two cats escape by putting a hole in a window screen, or them actually jumping out too.

This should prevent my brother's cats from escaping... in theory. All I need is his approval, and another job call so I can get paid enough to buy this. Oddly enough it looks like it's mostly used in the Chickens area of things... But I think it can work on escaping cats too.

On my mind? Eating home-made coconut icecream. My first attempt was... meh. Second attempt was fairly... stiff. I need to work on it some more.

Kitty sitting, well sort of. If they didn't poke a hole in the window's screen and run away before 7 AM. My cat, Nima, and my youngest brother's cat seem to be the only two cats that stayed. Yep, the next time I see the cat who keeps poking holes in the window screens, that cat's in trouble. Because he just did it for a third time in a row. Now I am DEFINITELY thinking of reinforcing the windows with that welded mesh, or whatever it's called.
