Save-Point Community Game
Hey Everybody! I have an idea for a game, but alas, I'm not the best person at scripting and pixel art. I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me take a whack at this.
I will be posting more on this as I come along on it, but I would really love to have something of a team on this as I don't even know what era this should take place in yet. I'm aiming toward a WWII-esque fantasy world.
Storyline/Concept
OK, as of now, my idea is that I really wanna make a game with an Anti-Hero. I'm thinking that the main character could start out as a good member of society, even possibly a super productive member of the town (this would give opportunity to small community quest such as find mushrooms and all the good shit). Then his family (or whole village) is killed by an invading army which practices genocide and is purifying the world of "The Impure." This would pretty much be in the same concept as the Nazis versus, well, anybody not Nazi. Being left the only one alive, the anti-hero is pretty much emotionally killed and feels that the whole world is already dead. He then goes on a hell bent quest to kill all the "Nazis" and takes out anyone or anything in his way. Along the way, he becomes more and more powerful as he begins to forget why he is even on this quest, until, eventually, he becomes the monster that he was so eager to eradicate, making the world as empty as he feels.
Storyline Written (So Far)
Our hero, (Character 1), works in a diner and watches the troops of the occupying army march through town everyday while he has story building talk with customers. After the catch up to the storyline small talk, they notice the soldiers aren't marching outside anymore and that the city seems empty of it's invaders. Next, you hear the city's sirens going off and hear artillery fire in the distance. The city begins to get marauded with shells, destroying the diner, killing most of the customers. Somebody survives, but is injured and you talk to them about staying calm and hanging in there as they die in front of you. After that you run off to find your wife and children. You make your way through the city as buildings burn and topple from artillery fire. You arrive at home, only to find that you are too late. You have a sentimental speech with your wife and she dies as the screen and sound fades out. Next scene is you burying your family in the charred park by your home as opening credits pan. At the end, you wander aimlessly through town, finding survivors. You find (Char 2) burying their family and talk to them about getting revenge against the (Nazi Like Regime). They agree to come with you and yall start heading off to do some damage. While you're leaving the city, you come across troops sent in to finish the job and battle your way out.
during the walk to do some damage, the chara gen party comes across a small troop of soldiers. in an attempt to get by them to their weapon storage room, they were caught by a small group of soldiers stationed there.
the now hopeless chara gen party is placed in front of a firing squad. upon chara gen 1's enemies pointing there firearms to his temple-BOOM!!!!! THE RESISTANCE ARMY!!!
The soldiers scrambled! chara gen 1 decided to use the opportunity to get out as he reliazed that he wasn't strong enough to do anything!
his comrade chara gen 2 now seems frustrated by the fact that his savior has lost faith in himself. sadly the two ran into an enemy and chara gen 1 was shot in the heart! chara gen 2 now in tears over the loss of his only hope left in the world-*sound of the air ripped apart* the soldier who killed chara gen 1 all fell to the ground with mortal wounds.
after the wind subsided, in came a beautiful lady, chara gen 2 surprised to see the sight of blood swirling through the air and a blonde as golden as the sun came down, it was like an angel of death descending upon the earth. chara gen 2 got back to reality when he noticed that his friend needed help, "Please Help Us!!" he yelled to the demonic beauty before him. luckily she decide to approach their party, *she placed her hand on chara gen 1's body* i'm sorry but your friend is dea-"the demonic beauty screamed! followed by a shining light", after the light faded... chara gen 1 was standing!!!!!!!
As the demoness touches Character1, all he can see is visions of hell and cities burning to the ground just like his had just done. He can see the demoness screaming in his brain as she became weaker, until everything goes black. C1 wakes up to find the demoness gone and his injuries healed. He can feel energy pulsing through his veins. He looked into the eyes of the soldiers around him could see the fear and hatred in them. C1 then took his hands and pulled the souls out of every soldier around him, as their bodies fell lifeless to the floor around him, one by one. C2 looked at C1 in awe, "I don't know if our path will be lined with blood or palm leaves, but I will follow you to the end. We can't let them destroy the rest of the country as they destroyed our home. Our loved ones are gone and they must be avenged."
