Creating a branch of Change Leader v2.11. This branch will sacrifice a lot of the customization options (particularly the lots and lots of sound cue options) for speed.
Edit: Yeah, looks like I'm calling this one "Change Leader 2.11 Lite"
Edit 2 (1:40am): For those who do not want in-depth customization of sound cues, 2.11 Lite is shaping up to be a lot simpler and fast-paced compared to its complex parent.

Been toying with the idea of a sort of 'Guilds' script. Brings up its own custom dialog window for things like joining, getting jobs, paying dues, rewards, etc. You may join multiples, but also have to contend with rivals... join one may disqualify for another.
Just an idea...

Finished the VX version of Change Leader 2.11 Lite but came across a typo I made there. Ew.

I just sent an email to the artist I hired (paid) with descriptions of the tiles I want for Hartacon.

I just sent this to Sales Support - Enterbrain (English language branch):
Quote:There are two other 'popular' engines of the RPGMaker series: RPGMaker 2000 and RPGMaker 2003.
I am aware that these titles are old and have been translated into other titles without supervision by Enterbrain. However, there appears to be some communities that still use these two engines outside of Japan.
I am curious. Would there be a chance that legal English versions of these two titles may be made available in the future, perhaps updated for the newer Windows7 64 bit OS?
If I get anything back, I'll inquire about a new RPGMaker .... OUR kind (the best of both worlds).

I just gave a couple people the link to a beta copy of MrMo's ABS Ultimate for a little trial run. Also asked for a few questions to answer. I figure, if one person has questions, others would too. Might as well have those questions answered in the help file.

I just noticed a harmless yet really anoying bug with the menu system I'm using in my game and now I'm trying do decide wether I go look for a complete new menu and give up on what I had in mind with this one or if I should try find a solution to that bug.
Which probably means I'd need to ask for help once again and I don't really want to do that (again).
I know, I know: It'd be stupit not to get help when I know there are people who can, but I'd rather be able to solve problems on my own without depending on others.
So yeah...diciding what is the better way right now...

I got a reply. They're just salepeople and only have license for the big three (XP, VX and IGMaker). They don't see RM2K or 2K3 coming back, and don't know of any plans by Enterbrain to work on any newer system right now.

RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 work fine on Windows 7 64-bit anyway. It would be swell if they didn't have that illegal air about them though...

Hey. I tried.
I know a member in the Non-Japanese RM community that went so far as to buy the official (and only in Japanese) version of RPGMaker 2003. That way, she was fully licensed and could still use the translated version without hassel. She gave me a link to the service years ago. Unfortunately, the company is no longer licensed to sell RPGMaker 2003 outside of Japan, and the link no longer works. I guess the only way to buy either now is through Enterbrain itself?
Blech.
