Final Fantasy X was the last one before they merged with Enix, and it shows in the length and quality of side-quests. I easily get over 200 hours without trying...
X-2 was the beginning of the short games for full-game price, manymuch sequel, remake everything era of Square Enix. I haven't played many sequels, so I can't judge them, but they have been shorter and from what I hear, lower quality (Unless you're talking about graphics) than predecessors... but everyone is entitled to their opinions on games. Personally, I didn't like the remake of Tactics, so opinions are something people can have, as long as they don't blind you to a whole group of people. (Or in this case, a whole company)
Samven, when ya see me in the game, don't forget to say hello!
And yeah, I'm back... please be gentle. I don't wanna hear any more arguments with blatant insults, 'kay?
Thanks.

I know, I know. I'm awful for it. But yeah, this series has always sort of driven me up the wall. I find a lot of the characters superfluous, most of the villains very samey and repetitive (how many times do we have to keep recycling the "I want to kill everyone and/or become a god in the process" motivation?), the writing melodramatic to the point of weeping hilarity, the ATB painfully slow, and - most of all - the way in which Squeenix keeps reinventing the wheel when it comes to levelling up just drives me to madness.
... Which may be why everyone keeps recommending IX to me, as they tell me it's the antithesis of everything I can't stand about Squeenix. But time will tell.
I'm also gonna say that I think that the Enix part of Squeenix gets WAY too much flak these days. People are always accusing the merger of "ruining" Squaresoft but, actually, the majority of the Squeenix workforce is focused on properties that came from the Square side of things. So, it seems to me that the problem is most likely to do with a bloated chain of command that constantly wastes the time of its workers with prettying up graphics and countless side projects as opposed to Enix deliberately ruining everything.
So, yeah, anyway, we'll see how IX goes. I'll let everyone know what I think after I've gotten ahold of a copy.

Still, ntzrmtthihu777 will be pleased. You're headin' into Linux-World.
Heck of a late birthday present you got there.

Why on Earth am I addicted to Save-Point's shop? I just bought some cats, some weaponry from the armory, a pancake, and finally slapped Rosy (and a few others) around with some smelly large trouts.
Did I mention I bought a pancake?

Dohoho, I see my new weapons are being enjoyed, then?
Speaking of which, I am trying to buy every weapon in the Armoury just to stroke my own ego. : 3

I was gifted one of the awesome new bows, which made me really happy =D
Now all I need to figgure out is how to select what Items are visible below my avatar, if that's even something you can choose.

Please don't spell my name "Yamina-chan". It's all small. Thank you =D
